This time I want to share with you something different, at least for me, a piece of wood carved with the figure of Zingu, specifically his head, I have made a wooden carved necklace, it is the first time that I take one of the beautiful creatures as a reference. from the game Holozing for woodworking, I hope you like it.
Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, compartiendo todos sus hermosas creaciones en esta grandiosa comunidad. Esta vez quiero compartir con ustedes algo diferente, al menos para mi, una pieza de madera tallada con la figura de Zingu, específicamente su cabeza, he hecho un collar tallado en madera, es la primera vez que tomo como referencia una de las hermosas criaturas del juego Holozing para trabajar en madera, espero que les guste.

I took a piece of wood, this time I took a tip that they gave me in a previous publication, and that is that they look prettier the smaller the piece, so I took a small wooden square that measures 3 centimeters on all sides, In that small square I made a drawing of the silhouette of the face to mold and cut.
Tomé un pedazo de madera, esta vez tomé un consejo que me dieron en una publicación anterior, y es que se ven mas lindos mientras más pequeña es la pieza, así que tomé un pequeño cuadro de madera que mide 3 centímetros por todos sus lados, en ese pequeño cuadro hice el dibujo de la silueta del rostro para moldear y cortar.

After making the drawing I reduced the edges with the knife, however there were very long pieces of wood which I removed with the saw. Once the contour was more defined, with the razor I began to shape it little by little. As you can see, in the last image you can clearly see the shape of the already carved head.
Luego de hacer el dibujo fui rebajando los bordes con la navaja, sin embargo había trozos de madera muy largos los cuales los quité con la sierra. Una vez el contorno estuviera más definido, con la navaja comencé a darle forma poco a poco. Como pueden observar, la última imagen puede apreciarse bien la forma de la cabeza ya tallada.

After finishing the contour I went towards the center of the face, with the razor I took out the entire part around it, little by little to give it shape following the lines I made from the drawing. I was very careful to remove this part, because since the piece is small, the wood could break, but with great care none of that happened.
Luego de terminar el contorno fui hacia el centro del rostro, con la navaja fui sacando toda la parte de alrededor, poco a poco para darle forma siguiendo las líneas que hice del dibujo. Fui muy cuidadoso para retirar esta parte, porque como la pieza es pequeña, la madera se podía romper, pero con mucho cuidado nada de eso ocurrió.

With extreme care I then go towards the center of the face, making small cuts to establish lines and give it shape. I am also removing the eye part carefully, this was not easy since the knife is larger and those small gaps are difficult. Lastly I made the mouth.
Con extremo cuidado voy entonces hacia el centro del rostro, haciendo pequeños cortos para establecer líneas y darle forma. La parte de los ojos también la voy retirando con cuidado, esta no fue fácil ya que la navaja es más grande y es difícil esos huecos tan pequeños. Por último hice la boca.

After finishing the carving, I start sanding to give it a better shape and finish, as well as making the wood smoother. Once this step is finished, I give it a bath of transparent varnish, I do this process twice so that the wood is well protected, then I let it dry for a few minutes.
Luego de terminar el tallado, comienzo a lijar para darle una forma y un mejor acabado, a parte de hacer que la madera quede más suave. Una vez terminado este paso, le doy un baño de barníz transparente, este proceso lo hago dos veces para que lña madera quede bien protegida, luego dejo secar por unos cuantos minutos.

After letting it dry for 30 minutes, I opened a small hole through which I placed a chain and passed the necklace through, this way it was finished.
Luego de dejar secar por 30 minutos, abrí un pequeño agujero por donde coloqué una cadena y así pasar el collar, de esta manera quedó finalizado.
What do you think of the final work? I was very pleased with the result, if this type of wood were a little larger I think I would dare to make a complete sculpture out of wood, since I have taken more practice, however the only problem is that to make another type of sculpture it is necessary They need more precise tools, I hope to have them soon. Qué les parece el trabajo final? quedé muy complacido con el resultado, si esta clase de madera fuera un poco más grande creo que me atrevería a hacer una escultura completa de madera, ya que he tomado más práctica, sin embargo el único problema es que para hacer otra clase de escultura se necesitan herramientas más precisas, espero poder tenerlas pronto.
