There are different types of eagles, such as fish eagles which are usually found in coastal regions and the buzzard-eagles.

The fish eagles reside around large bodies of open waters as there are usually abundance of food supply.

Then, the buzzard eagles are found in the regions of south America.

You will definitely find it hard to believe that the grip of an eagle is ten times that of a human! The largest types of eagles have the ability to lift prey that weighs 4-5lbs.

You would also wonder why eagles build their nests on the top of cliffs. Yes! They build their nests on the top of cliffs so as to be free and far away from predators, and also to be close to their food source. They are that intelligent.

One of the most interesting facts about eagles is that they are a symbol of peace and liberty.

An eagle's eyesight is about 8 times that of a human, the vision of eagles is so accurate that they have the ability to sight a mother-hen and chicks 3.5km away.

It's quite surprising to know that eagles can stay up to 6-7 weeks without food and when they eat, they feed on crabs, fish, reptiles and amphibians.

The wingspan of an eagle is approximately 7 feet, as a result of this, eagles possess the capability to dive and soar higher up to 10,000 feet in the air.

THE MOST DREADFUL EAGLE

The great Philippine eagle is the most dreadful eagle in the world. It can also be referred to as the monkey-eating eagle. I know you're surprised! So, eagles eat monkeys? Haha.

The Philippine eagle is found only in the northern and eastern regions of the Philippines.

The Golden eagle is the most common eagle species around the globe, while the Harpy eagle is the biggest eagle species with a wingspan of about 8 feet.

Lastly, humans have homes where they reside and are expected to be back home at the end of each day.

But for eagles, they do not sleep in their nest, they only visit their nest for the purpose of brooding and raising of their young ones.

Eagles sleep by perching on branches as they possess an inbuilt ratcheting mechanism in their feet which allows them to lock their feet increasing the grip strength automatically without falling or slipping off while perching.

I think Eagles are wonderful creatures. Or, what do you think?
