Marasmius vagus

A few days ago, while exploring a small forest in the village, I came across a truly mesmerizing sight — the Marasmius vagus mushroom. With their small mushroom bodies and bright orange color, they grow on a piece of rotting wood, like little lamps illuminating a shady corner of the forest.

At that time, the forest was quite damp after raining several days earlier. I barely noticed them among the wet leaves. But when the afternoon sunlight slipped through the leaves, it shone directly onto these small mushrooms, as if nature was showing its beauty directly. Quickly, I prepared my camera and macro lens to capture this beautiful moment.

The Marasmius vagus fungus is known for its thin stalk and fragile umbrella-shaped head. Their orange color is a major attraction, especially when they shine under natural light. Although small, they stand out against the weathered wooden surface, showing how strong and enduring life is in nature.
