Hoy les comparto la forma que tuve de darle una segunda oportunidad a una falda que me regaló mi cuñada. La verdad, ella decidió regalármela porque en ese momento si me quedó bien, pero mi peso fue aumentando y dejó de servirme y honestamente no quise renunciar a ella, así que se me ocurrió hacerle unos pequeños arreglos con el material que tenía de otra prenda que ya no uso, es una elástica de buena calidad. Y lo genial de ella es que, aunque mi peso siga aumentando, ella se adaptará a todas esas tallas. Pongámonos manos a la obra.
Today I share with you the way I had to give a skirt a second chance that my sister-in-law gave me. The truth is, she decided to give it to me because at that moment it did fit me, but my weight was increasing and it stopped working for me and I honestly didn't want to give it up, so it occurred to me to make some small arrangements with the material that I had from another garment that I no longer wear, it is a good quality elastic. And the great thing about her is that even though my weight continues to increase, she will adapt to all those sizes. Let's get to work.
Aquí están los materiales que necesitamos:
- Elástica.
- Hilo.
- Aguja.
- Dedal.
- Cinta métrica.
- Tijeras.
- Descosedor.
- Bisturí
- Lápiz o bolígrafo.
- Máquina de coser.
Here are the materials we need:
- Elastic.
- Thread.
- Needle.
- Thimble.
- Measuring tape.
- Pair of scissors.
- Seam Ripper.
- Scalpel
- Pencil or pen.
- Sewing machine.
Procedimiento:
- Empezamos descosiendo de los dos lados la prenda con el descosedor y las partes más fuertes con mucho cuidado con el bisturí.
Process:
- We begin by ripping the garment on both sides with the seam ripper and the strongest parts very carefully with the scalpel.
- Medimos y cortamos diez piezas de elástica de 5cm.
- We measure and cut ten pieces of elastic of 5cm.
- Ubicaremos las elásticas en ambas partes de la falda y las uniremos a la tela con los alfileres. Luego basteamos (Preparar el cosido de una tela) con hilo y aguja.
- We will place the elastics in both parts of the skirt and we will join them to the fabric with the pins. Then we baste (Prepare the sewing of a cloth) with thread and needle.
- Ahora debemos coserla de manera recta: ya sea en una máquina o a mano.
- Now we must sew it straight: either on a machine or by hand.
¡¡Y ESTE ES EL RESULTADO!! Ésta es una falda para estar en mi casa.
