Los cumpleaños son una parte importante de mi vida, y ayudar a sorprender a los cumpleañeros(as) en sus días me encanta. Ayudar a elaborar topper sencillos y complejos se ha convertido en parte de mi cotidianidad… El trabajo que hoy les muestro, es un trabajo sencillo que generado a partir de una impresión a color y con unas capas de cartulina de colores permitió sorprender a un amante de Dragón Ball en su feliz vuelta al sol.

Birthdays are an important part of my life, and I love to help surprise the birthday boys and girls on their day. Helping to make simple and complex topper has become part of my daily routine... The work I show you today, is a simple work that generated from a color print and with a few layers of colored cardboard allowed me to surprise a Dragon Ball lover in his happy return to the sun.

1.- Definir, seleccionar e imprimir al tamaño deseado de la imagen y el nombre de Dragon Ball, Gokú.
1.- Define, select and print at the desired size the image and the name of Dragon Ball, Goku.
2.- Recortar las imágenes por toda sus silueta. En este caso, recortar todo el cuerpo de Gokú y todo el nombre de la serie.
2.- Cut out the images all over their silhouettes. In this case, cut out Goku's whole body and the whole name of the series.
3.- Una vez se tengan las siluetas, seleccionar los colores de las cartulinas a poner en capas e ir recortando de acuerdo a la silueta del dibujo. A medida que se incorporan las capas dejar unos milímetros mas grande, entre capa y capa a fin crear el efecto deseado con los colores. Para este diseño los colores de las capas fueron: amarillo, naranja, rojo y negro.
3.- Once you have the silhouettes, select the colors of the cardboard to be layered and cut out according to the silhouette of the drawing. As the layers are incorporated, leave a few millimeters larger between each layer to create the desired effect with the colors. For this design the colors of the layers were: yellow, orange, red and black.
4.- Para las capas del nombre, se utilizaron los mismos colores de Gokú, pero se invirtieron de posición quedando; negro, rojo, naranja y amarillo. Esta inversión surgió para hacer contraste con el color de las letras.
4.- For the layers of the name, the same colors of Goku were used, but they were inverted to black, red, orange and yellow. This inversion arose to contrast with the color of the letters.
5.- Para la separación de las capas, se recortan pequeñas tiras de foami plano y se pegan con silicón frio a cada capa por la parte posterior de las mismas. Una vez seca las piezas por separado se ensamblan las piezas, visualizándose todo los coles de las capas. Para el caso del nombre las capas se pegaron sin separación entre capas ya que el mismo sería pegado en el frente del pastel. Para esto, se protegió la ultima capa con acetato grueso para evitar la humedad del pastel dañara el nombre.
5.- To separate the layers, small strips of flat foami are cut out and glued with cold silicone on the back of each layer. Once the separate pieces are dry, the pieces are assembled, showing all the colors of the layers. In the case of the name, the layers were glued without separation between layers since the name would be glued on the front of the cake. For this, the last layer was protected with thick acetate to prevent the humidity of the cake from damaging the name.
