This restoration is quick and inexpensive to perform, because with a piece of eva rubber, a little mecatillo, paint and lots of creativity you can restore those old kitchen containers that you think you should throw them away, well no! with this idea you will see that you will be encouraged to give it a try and you will have a new decoration in your kitchen. Bienvenidos a mi blog. En esta noche mis apreciados amigos y amigas les traigo una estupenda idea para que restauren sus viejos envases de cocina con muy poco de material. Esta restauración es rápida y económica de realizar, ya que con retazo de goma eva, un poco de mecatillo, pintura y mucha creatividad podrás restaurar esos viejos envases de cocina que piensas que los debes de tirar a la basura, pues no! con esta idea vas a ver que te vas animar a darle una oportunidad y vas a tener una nueva decoración en tu cocina. Pues sígueme y te enseñare paso a paso como realice esta restauración. Amigas a trabajar con mucho cariño y amor. Comenzamos.
- EVA rubber (black and white)

- Paint (ocher)

- Liquid black marker
- Scissors
- Mecatillo
*Caobo tree fruit peel - Hot silicon
- Goma eva (blanco y negro)

1: To begin with the restoration of our kitchen containers, we start by removing the old decoration from each of the containers, then we wash them very well and let them dry.
1: Para iniciar con la restauración de nuestros envases de cocina, comenzando quitando la vieja decoración a cada uno de los envases, luego los lavamos muy bien y dejamos secar.
2: Now we proceed to clean each of the lids of the containers and with the help of a cutter we remove the remains of silicone, sand a little and then proceed to paint them in ocher color. Let them dry.
2: Ahora procedemos a limpiar cada una de las tapas de los envases y con la ayuda de un cuters les retiramos los restos de silicon, lijamos un poco y luego procedemos a pintarlos de color ocre. Dejamos secar.
3: Then we proceed to paint 2 centimeters of the lower part of the container and 2 centimeters on the upper part, as you can see. Repeat the procedure for the other two containers. Let dry.
3: Seguidamente procedemos a pintar 2 centímetros de la parte inferior del envase y 2 centímetros en la parte superior, como pueden observar. Repetimos el procedimiento para los otros dos envases. Dejamos secar.
4: We take the small rubber band and glue it around the contour of the lower part, giving it three turns, then we also glue it on the upper part of the container as you can see in the pictures. Then we cut a strip of black eva rubber 0.5 centimeter wide and glue it under the small rubber band on the upper part.
4: Tomamos el mecatillo y lo pegamos por el contorno de la parte inferior dándole tres vueltas, luego también lo pegamos en la parte superior del envase como pueden ver en las imágenes. seguidamente cortamos una tira de goma eva negro de 0,5 centímetro de ancho y la pegamos debajo del mecatillo de la parte superior.
5: Cut three 0.5 centimeter wide strips of black eva rubber and glue them around the edge of each of the lids of the containers.
5: Cortamos tres tiras de goma eva negro de 0,5 centímetros de ancho y la procedemos a pegarla por todo el borde de cada una de las tapas de los envases.
6: Then we take the mahogany shells and with the black liquid marker we proceed to paint them, let them dry. Then we proceed to write the words for each one of the containers on the white eva rubber, cut them out and glue them to the shells. We decorate with some plastic twigs and finally we insert a strip of mecatillo and attach it to the knob of the lid.
6: Después tomamos las cascaras de caobo y con el marcador negro liquido procedemos a pintarlas, dejamos secar. Luego en la goma eva blanco procedemos a escribir las palabras para cada uno de los envases, recortamos y pegamos a las cascaras. Decoramos con unas ramitas de plástico y para finalizar le insertamos una tira de mecatillo y la sujetamos al pomo de la tapa.
