Greetings friends. This is a rather special publication because it is a sort of tribute to someone who I am sure influenced many of us, I mean Akira Toriyama. He was a quite famous mangaka, being one of his most famous works the very famous Dragon Ball, with Goku as the main character.
His work marked the childhood of many of us and in some way or another taught us values that even today we try to keep in our lives. Unfortunately, it was recently announced the death of this great author, who taught us so much and gave us so many moments of joy with his work. Therefore, I wish to dedicate this publication to him, to immortalize here in the blockchain the affection and respect that I, and I am sure you too, have for the memory of Akira Toriyama.
As it could not be otherwise, I made a sculpture of his best known character, Goku, carrying ToriBot in his flying cloud.

Saludos amigos. Esta es una publicación bastante especial porque es una suerte de homenaje a alguien que estoy seguro que influyó bastante en muchos de nosotros, me refiero a Akira Toriyama. Fue un mangaka bastante famoso, siendo una de sus obras más conocidas la mísita Dragon Ball, con Goku como protagonista.
Su obra marcó la infancia de muchos de nosotros y de alguna u otra manera nos enseñó valores que incluso hoy en día tratamos de mantener en nuestra vida. Lamentablemente, hace poco fue anunciado el fallecimiento de este gran autor, que tanto nos enseñó y tantos momentos de alegría nos dio con su obra. Por ello, deseo dedicarle esta publicación, para que queden inmortalizado aquí en la blockchain el cariño y respeto que guardo yo, y estoy seguro que ustedes también, a la memoria de Akira Toriyama.
Como no podía ser de otra manera, hice una escultura de su personaje más conocido, Goku, llevando a ToriBot en su nube voladora.
Step by step
Obviously I had to share the step by step of this figure. I didn't make it with an overly complicated skeleton, but I would use metal supports to make it, as it was a little bigger sculpture than the ones I usually make.
The first thing I made was a cylinder of plasticine to create the legs. This shape is the base to create the legs.
Paso a paso
Evidentemente debía compartir el paso a paso de esta figura. No la hice con un esqueleto demasiado complicado, pero sí usaría soportes de metal para hacerla, pues era una escultura un poco más grande que las que acostumbro a hacer.
Lo primero que hice fue un cilindro de plastilina para crear las piernas. Esta forma es la base para crear las piernas.
With this base shape I began to mold the legs, creating the shape of the waist and the undulations of the legs, to create all these forms that usually have this type of clothing with bulging and wide, garments as characteristic as those of Goku.
Con esta forma base comencé a moldear las piernas, creando la forma de la cintura y las ondulaciones de las piernas, para crear todas estas formas que suele tener este tipo de ropa con abombada y ancha, prendas tan características como las de Goku.

I made the most characteristic little shoes of this little Goku with black and white plasticine. I used the white for the socks, creating the shape of the foot, then in the black I made the shape of the shoe and then joined the two pieces together.
Los zapatitos más característicos de este pequeño Goku los hice con plastilina blanca y negra. Usé el blanco para las medias, creando la forma del pie, luego en el negro hice la forma del zapato y luego junté las dos piezas.

I continued molding the pants with my molding tools, until it had all the shapes and undulations I wanted, then I made a hole in the bottom of the pants and placed each little shoe in its place, making the sole and the lines of the sole using white plasticine.
In the same way, I placed a wire base to support the rest of the figure.
Continué moldeando el pantalón con mis herramientas de moldeado, hasta que quedó con toas las formas y ondulaciones que quería, luego hice un agujero en la base del pantalón y coloqué cada zapatito en su lugar, haciendo la suela y las líneas de la suela usando plastilina blanca.
De igual manera, le coloqué una base de alambre para que soportara el resto de la figura.
After this I continued working on the chest, first I made the basic shape of this part and started to mold it to create the necessary undulations.
I put the black belt and the chest itself in place, shaping each piece so that they all looked the way I wanted them to.
Después de esto continué trabajando en el pecho, primero hice la forma básica de esta parte y comencé a moldearla para crear las ondulaciones necesarias.
Le coloqué el cinturón negro y el propio pecho en su lugar, moldeando cada pieza para que todas quedaran como deseaba.
For Goku's neck I used this light skin colored plasticine, which I placed on top of the orange part I had previously made. Then I added more plasticine and molded it into the shape of the shoulder pads and the characteristic V-neck.
Para el cuello de Goku usé esta plastilina color piel clara, la cual coloqué encima de la parte naranja que había hecho con anterioridad. Luego agregué más plastilina y la moldeé hasta lograr la forma de las hombreras y el característico cuello en V.

For the arms I used two pieces of wire and covered them with thick thread, to give volume to the arms without adding too much weight. On top of the arms I placed the pieces of light skin-colored and blue plasticine for the wristbands that Goku usually wears.
Para los brazos usé dos trozos de alambre y los cubrí con hilo grueso, para darle volumen a los brazos sin sumar demasiado peso. Encima de los brazos coloqué los trozos de plastilina color piel clara y color azul para las muñequeras que suele usar Goku.

Finally I put each arm in place, fixing each piece with enough glue, as you can see in the photos below:

The head was a little more complicated than the rest of the body. I first made a solid piece of paper and covered it with plasticine, then covered it with more light skin colored plasticine, then continued molding the basic shape of the head and molded the mouth, along with the teeth and tongue.
La cabeza fue un poco más complicado que el resto del cuerpo. Primero hice una pieza sólida de papel y la cubrí con plastilina, luego la cubrí con más plastilina color piel clara, luego continué moldeando la forma básica de la cabeza y le moldeé la boca, junto con los dientes y la lengua.

I put some white plasticine for the eyes, then I made some black plasticine lines for the pupils and the upper edge of the eyes. I also made thicker lines of plasticine for the eyebrows and after finishing everything, I enlarged the character's mouth a little more.
Le coloqué plastilina blanca para los ojos, luego hice algunas líneas de plastilina negra para las pupilas y el borde superior de los ojos. También hice líneas más gruesas de plastilina para las cejas y después de terminar todo, agrandé un poco más la boca del personaje.

After making this head, I put it in place to see how it looked. I liked the result, as it was in good proportion to the neck.
Después de hacer esta cabeza, la coloqué en su lugar para ver cómo había quedado. Me gustó el resultado, pues tenía una buena proporción con respecto al cuello.
After verifying that the proportions were correct, I continued molding the head, this time adding hair and all the bangs so characteristic of Goku. After finishing it, I put it in place, as you can see in the photo below.
Tras verificar que las proporciones eran las correctas, continué moldeando la cabeza, esta vez añadiendo cabello y todos los flequillos tan característicos de Goku. Después de terminarla, la coloqué en su lugar, tal como pueden ver en la foto de abajo.

Goku was practically ready, but I wanted to make him a base and a very characteristic one that goes very well with the character and the motif of the publication, the flying cloud.
To make this piece I used a lot of paper, covered it with tape and covered it with glue.
Prácticamente estaba listo Goku, pero quería hacerle una base y una muy característica y que va muy bien con el personaje y el motivo de la publicación, la nube voladora.
Para hacer esta pieza usé un montón de papel, lo cubrí con cinta adhesiva y lo cubrí con pegamento.
Then I used orange plasticine to cover the whole piece, which was quite big, I tried not to leave any green pieces of tape and that everything was covered with a thick layer of plasticine, which could be molded to give it the shape of a cloud. Once this was done, I painted it in a light yellow color.
Después usé plastilina naranja para cubrir toda esta pieza que era bastante grande, traté de que no quedara ningun trozo verde de cinta y que todo estuviera cubierto con una capa gruesa de plastilina, que se pudiera moldear para darle forma de nube. Una vez hecho esto, la pinté de un color amarillo claro.

Finally I placed a small ToriBot figurine next to Goku, a character used by Akira Toriyama to represent himself in his works. I placed it in front of Goku, as if he was carrying the Toribot in his flying cloud.
Finalmente coloqué una pequeña figurita de ToriBot junto a Goku, un personaje que usaba Akira Toriyama para representarse a si mismo en sus obras. Este lo coloqué delante de Goku, como si este estuviese llevando al Toribot en su nube voladora.
