Resulta que hace más o menos 20 días yo había ido a casa de mi madre y él me había invitado a su fiesta de cumpleaños. Después de invitarme estuvimos hablando de los amigurumis que le he tejido y regalado, no estaba seguro si era yo quien se los tejía. Luego de aclarado ese punto me pidió que de regalo de cumpleaños le regalara dos personajes que le fascinan, así que me comprometí con tejerle uno y entregárselo ese día.
Hello friends 👋🏽 I hope you are doing well today. I am going to tell you about a beautiful project that I made as a gift for my nephew. It turns out that about 20 days ago I had gone to my mother's house and he had invited me to his birthday party. After inviting me we were talking about the amigurumis that I have knitted and given him, he wasn't sure if I was the one who knitted them. After clarifying that point, he asked me to give him two characters that fascinate him as birthday presents, so I committed myself to knit him one and give it to him that day.
Cuando el amigurumi que voy a tejer también es de mi agrado me afano en terminarlo para ver pronto el resultado final. Lamentablemente en esta oportunidad no disfruté mucho del proceso porque lo hice a última hora y con un poco de 🤕 dolor ya que justamente cuando me decidí hacerlo amanecí con la cutícula rota en ambos dedos índices. Por mi forma de tejer me ocasionaba dolor en cada puntada, pero logré tejerlo en dos días, diferentes momentos de tejido. Ahora te doy más detalles del proceso de elaboración.
When the amigurumi I'm going to knit is also to my liking I try to finish it to see the final result soon. Unfortunately this time I didn't enjoy the process very much because I did it at the last minute and with a little 🤕 pain because just when I decided to do it I woke up with a broken cuticle on both index fingers. Because of my way of knitting it caused me pain in every stitch, but I managed to knit it in two days, different knitting moments. Now I will give you more details of the process of making it.
Para tejer este hermoso proyecto necesité de los siguientes materiales:
- Hilos pabilos de los colores amarillo, azul rey, negro, beige y blanco.
- Aguja de crochet de 2,24mm.
- Guata o algodón para rellenar.
- Ojos plásticos de 10mm.
- Retacitos de tela de fieltro de los colores blanco y negro.
- Hilo para bordar color negro.
- Tijeras.
- Hilos de coser color negro y blanco.
- Aguja de coser.
- Pegamento.
To knit this beautiful project I needed the following materials:
- Yellow, royal blue, black, beige and white wicking yarns.
- Crochet needle of 2.24mm.
- Wadding or cotton for stuffing.
- 10mm plastic eyes.
- Small pieces of felt fabric in black and white colors.
- Black embroidery thread.
- Scissors.
- Black and white sewing thread.
- Sewing needle.
- Glue.
Proceso para su elaboración.
Empecé ubicando un tutorial de este personaje ya que quería que se viera súper bonito. De entre algunos varios que hay en Youtube elegí el de la amiga del canal Samyelena Amigurumis. Aquí te comparto el enlace por si deseas hacer el tuyo.
Como les dije lo empecé a realizar a las carreras porque pensé que no podría viajar para esta fecha y además no había salido a comprar los hilos. En fin, sí pude tejerlo y gracias a Dios me quedo muy lindo. Este amigurumi se comienza a tejer desde los pies o zapatos con el hilo amarillo. Son puntiagudos los zapatos y se ven al principio un poco raros 😃. Después se tejen las piernas, ambas se unen con dos cadenas y se empieza a tejer el cuerpo. Me gusta mucho cuando los patrones se tejen de esa forma porque avanzo rápido. Esta parte se termina de tejer en color beige haciendo las primeras vueltas de lo que será parte de la cabeza.
Process for making it.
- I started by finding a tutorial for this character because I wanted it to look super cute. I chose the one from Samyelena Amigurumis, a friend of mine from the channel Samyelena Amigurumis. Here is the link in case you want to make your own.
- As I told you I started to make it on the run because I thought I would not be able to travel for this date and also I had not gone out to buy the yarn. Anyway, I was able to knit it and thank God it turned out very nice. This amigurumi starts knitting from the feet or shoes with the yellow yarn. The shoes are pointy and look a little weird at first 😃. Then you knit the legs, both legs are joined with two chains and you start knitting the body. I really like it when patterns are knitted that way because I make fast progress. This part is finished knitting in beige color making the first rounds of what will be part of the head.
- Para tejer la cabeza usé el hilo beige o mejor dicho el pabilo color crudo que tengo para tejer el mantel, me gustó el color para hacer la carita y así quedó. El diseño de la cara es muy particular, es la primera que tejo de esa forma, es grande y tiene cachetes. En el próximo que teja debería quedarme mejor, por ahora estoy satisfecha con el resultado. Antes de tejer la cabeza le tejí el chaleco y los dos bracitos.
- To weave the head I used the beige yarn or rather the ecru wick that I have to weave the tablecloth, I liked the color to make the face and that's how it turned out. The design of the face is very particular, it is the first one I knit that way, it is big and has cheeks. The next one I knit should be better, but for now I'm satisfied with the result. Before knitting the head I knitted the vest and the two little arms.
- La otra parte del proceso fue la más tediosa, esta la hice al siguiente día porque ya me había agarrado la noche haciendo el cuerpo y la cabeza. En esta parte se teje el cabello y se realizan los detalles del rostro. Hacer cada mechoncito me llevó bastante tiempo, no porque fuera difícil sino por mi dolor en la cutícula. Como ven son varios, pero es un detalle muy característico de estos personajes.
- The other part of the process was the most tedious, I did it the next day because I had already spent the night making the body and the head. In this part the hair is woven and the details of the face are made. Doing each strand took me quite a long time, not because it was difficult but because of my sore cuticle. As you can see there are several, but it is a very characteristic detail of these characters.
- Ahora corresponde hacer los detalles del rostro. Para ello usé hilo negro para bordar, pegamento, tijeras, fieltro y los ojos de 10mm. Esta parte la hice con mucho cuidado ya que solo tenía trocitos de tela y no podía desperdiciarlas. Lo mejor es que en el vídeo dan todos los detalles mínimos para que el proyecto quede muy bien elaborado. Para asegurarlos pegué y cosí la parte de los ojos que llevan tela. Fue gracioso el momento porque mi cuñada me pedía que le mostrara los avances y esta fue la foto que le mandé. Yo estaba tan concentrada en hacerlo que olvidaba tomar fotos.
- Now it is time to make the details of the face. For this I used black embroidery thread, glue, scissors, felt and the 10mm eyes. I did this part very carefully since I only had small pieces of fabric and I couldn't waste them. The best thing is that in the video they give all the minimum details so that the project is very well elaborated. To secure them I glued and sewed the part of the eyes that have fabric. It was a funny moment because my sister-in-law asked me to show her the progress and this was the picture I sent her. I was so focused on making it that I forgot to take pictures.
- Cuando al fin terminé 😃 quedé encantada con el resultado. Espero poder hacer en estos días el otro amigurumi que mi sobrino me pidió y llevárselo. ¿Cómo lo ven?
