I am not the best at painting but I am a trying-hard painter because I just love painting... 😂
Hello to all the amazing people of the Hive! As you begin reading this post, may I remind you to please put a smile on your beautiful face because your face is most beautiful when you smile😊. You got it! And now let me share something with you today, something that made me and my heart smile every time.
Painting is my childhood hobby however I was not able to hold paint and brush back then because we could not afford it. I could still remember how happy I was and my sister before in our elementary days if we were just so lucky to have a box of 8 pieces of crayons that we shared.
[Fast forward😅] Being a teacher is not a hindrance to continue doing my childhood hobbies. Honestly, during my vacant hour a day, if I am not into gardening I can do face painting. This time not on paper or a canvas but on my classroom walls.
It's been my dream to do a mural myself. Hiring a mural artist these days is expensive so I decided to try it myself. I could do it in my own classroom walls wherein I am free to paint whichever I want (as long as it's not bad for the school's image). I bet that it is not as good as the amazing murals we see on the city streets but I am delighted to see it myself because I work hard for it despite hectic class schedules.
My first goal is to do a simple mural on my bench in my garden area. It seemed a very simple design but the effort I spent with it was exceptional😂 and the feeling of happiness it gives is priceless.
It all started when a small bench was constructed in my garden area for my students🥰.
And the painting journey begins...
Slowly but surely😂! Indeed, not as easy as it looks but if you love what you do, you will do any position it may take🤪...
You might think that it would have been easy for me if I had put first the yellow paint as the background but unfortunately, when I started the painting I only have green paint available and I didn't have extra money at that time to buy yellow paint😊. So I just utilized what was available.

Another DIY mural that I started recently is on my classroom's front wall. I planned to paint a garden-themed design and lots of butterflies😂! Still, I am utilizing the leftover paints that I was able to keep from repainting my garden.
So far so good😂🥰! Not yet finished and the classroom evaluation would be next month. I am hoping I could finish this in time. But I will not stressed out myself about it, finish or not, so be it. I will continue painting during my free time because it simply relieves my stress, hehe...
Truly, if you love doing it, well then, DO IT YOUR OWN WAY! You got it! Remember that your happiness in seeing your artwork matters more than what other people think about your artwork.
