For a while I was fantasizing about doing something more than just necklaces, more precise - the ear stretchers... So finally I did it! I chose few wood pieces which I usually turn into beads for necklaces. This time I didn't drill them cause it was unnecessary.
On the left you can see almost raw but dried olive would piece & on the right there's a polished one.
On the both of them I carved these channels in for the earlobes to fit.
These 2 are the dried raw cherry wood pieces with already carved earlobe channels.
The process I usually take, is like this: I crop the fruit trees in my garden & few of my neighbors' gardens almost every springtime. Very often I save some thicker branches I cut, peel their bark, dry them in the basement, cut them in smaller pieces, carve, drill, polish & finally paint them with linen oil. So, the result is like this:
The bigger & brighter ones are made of olive wood & the smaller, reddish ones are made of cherry wood.
These 1st ones can be called prototypes...
The first ones are plain with no motifs except the natural wood look but still I made them for sale, so, if you like them, you can order them from me. Yet I didn't think about the prices & I don't even know how to measure the size of them but we'll easily communicate those details!
