Greetings, hivsartics. In today's installment I want to share with you a piece made with paint (I hope later to be able to buy watercolor paints, as they are my goal). I simply wanted to create a piece and listening to music (Spotify on shuffle), I have let myself get creative.
Why on book leaves is because I own a lot of books (some complete and some unleafed) in deplorable states that have been damaged by humidity and even some rodents, but knowing their state I decided to keep them, recycle their leaves and make art with them, apart from the one they already are. Because each book is a portal to learning, adventure or love.
For this issue N° 11 I present a few simple designs with line art. This time I created several pieces and then joined them together to form a whole. The type of leaf I have drawn and then painted is called Monstera Leaf, Monstera Deliciosa, Ceriman or Adam's Rib. It is a somewhat popular leaf in the minimalist style to decorate spaces and to connect with that natural touch. I hope you like it, it took me a couple of days to finish it because they are pieces of between 40 and 50 centimeters. But the result is revitalizing. I loved completing this work.
Saludos, hivsarticos. En la entrega de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una obra hecha con pintura (espero más adelante poder comprar las pinturas de acuarela, ya que son mi objetivo). Simplemente quise crear una pieza y escuchando música (Spotify en aleatorio), me he dejado llevar por la creatividad.
El porqué sobre hojas de libros es debido a que poseeo muchos libros (algunos completos y algunos deshojados) en estados lamentables que se han dañado por la humedad e incluso algunos roedores, pero sabiendo su estado decidí quedarmelos, reciclar sus hojas y hacer arte con ellos, aparte de la que ya son. Porque cada libro es un portal a la enseñanza, a la aventura o al amor.
Para esta entrega N° 11 les presento unos cuantos diseños simples con arte lineal. En esta oportunidad creé varias piezas para luego unirlas y que conformaran un todo. El tipo de hoja que he dibujado y posteriormente pintado se llama Hoja de Monstera, Monstera Deliciosa, Ceriman o Costilla de Adán. Es una hoja un poco popular en el estilo minimalista para decorar espacios y para conectar con ese toque natural. Espero les guste, a mi me llevó un par de días terminarlo porque son piezas de entre 40 y 50 centímetros. Peroel resultado es revitalizante. Me encantó completar este trabajo. .

1. To begin we will gather all the materials on our work area, which of course must be clean, dry, well lit, quiet and free of distractions. The idea is to feel comfortable with the space to be able to carry out our work without inconveniences. Besides, the tranquility is for our creativity and inspiration to flow freely. In my case I usually paint in the early hours of the morning because the weather is cool, my anxiety appears at this late hour and this is my way to appease it, I also usually listen to music to feel even more at ease.
1. Para comenzar reuniremos todos los materiales sobre nuestra área de trabajo, que por supuesto debe estar limpio, seco, bien iluminado, ser tranquilo y libre de distracciones. La idea es sentirnos cómodos con el espacio para poder llevar a cabo nuestra obra sin inconvenientes. Además la tranquilidad es para que nuestra creatividad e inspiración fluyan con libertad. En mi caso suelo pintar en horas de la madrugada porque el clima es fresco, mi ansiedad aparece a estas altas horas y esta es mi manera de apaciguarla, también suelo escuchar música para sentirme incluso más a gusto.
2. We start by drawing what we want to paint. I do it this way because I still don't trust my artistic vision to do it directly with paint, yet. In spite of making the sketches for each of the pieces, I left some elements that I wanted to capture later without drawing them.
2.1. In the left piece we can see a moon, a star and some plants, in this case what would represent the night and its power, as well as its connection with nature.
2.2. In the central piece we can appreciate some flowers that later will be supported by some unexpected elements, in this case this piece would represent the flora itself and its important role in the natural balance.
2.3. In the right piece we can appreciate the sun and some plants, which would indicate the harmony of nature with the light in the world capable of overcoming great darkness in our interior.

2. Iniciamos dibujando lo que queremos pintar. Yo lo hago de este modo porque aún no confío en mi pulso o visión artistica para hacerlo directamente con pintura, aún. A pesar de realizar los bocetos para cada una de las piezas, dejé sin dibujar algunos elementos que quería plasmar luego.
2.1. En la pieza izquierda podemos apreciar una Luna, una estrellas y algunas plantas, en este caso lo que representaría es la noche y su poder, además de su conexión con la naturaleza.
2.2. En la pieza central podemos apreciar unas flores que más adelante se apoyarán con algunos elementos inesperados, en este caso esta pieza representaría la flora en sí y su importante papel en el equilibrio natural.
2.3. En la pieza derecha podemos apreciar el sol y unas cuantas plantas, lo que indicaría la armonía de la naturaleza con la luz en el mundo capaz de vencer grandes oscuridades en nuestro interior.

3. To begin applying paint, I first chose the piece that has a sun in its center.
3.1 I started by applying yellow paint because I wanted to show several colors, since when it is dawn or dusk you can easily notice some very different tones between red, orange and yellow.
3.2 Then I applied both red and orange and I gave it that look at the bottom that was fading into the horizon, at least I tried but I liked how it turned out. I also applied with red paint in a very subtle way some very delicate flowers around the sun, attached to the plants that form it.
3.3 To finish I only used black to mark the plants and some details like lines and dots that gave a very beautiful touch to the whole piece.

3. Para comenzar a aplicar pintura, elegí primero la pieza que posee un sol en su centro.
3.1 Comencé aplicando con pintura amarilla y es que quería que se apreciaran varios colores, pues cuando está amaneciendo o atardeciendo se puede notar con facilidad algunos tonos muy diversos entre el rojo, el naranja y el amarillo.
3.2 Luego apliqué tanto rojo como naranja le di ese especto en la parte inferior de que se estaba difuminando en el horizonte, al menos lo intenté pero me gustó como quedó. También apliqué con pintura roja de manera muy sutil algunas flores muy delicadas al rededor del sol, unidas a las plantas que la conforman.
3.3 Para culminar solo usé negro para marcar las plantas y algunos detalles como líneas y puntos que le dieron un toque muy hermoso a toda la pieza.

4. To continue, I chose the piece with a crescent moon and a star in its center to start applying the paint. Unlike the previous photograph, I took the opportunity to add more details with pencil, as it seemed to me a little lonely the way it was. In my opinion it needed more details.

4. Para continuar elegí la pieza que posee una media luna y una estrella en su centro para comenzar a aplicar la pintura. A diferencia de la fotografía anterior, aproveché para añadir con lapiz más detalles, pues me parecía un poco solitario la manera en la que se encontraba. A mi parecer necesitaba más detalles.
4.1 Inicié aplicando amarillo en la luna y la estrella, para posteriormente aplicar naranja y rojo en ambos. También con pintura roja pinté algunas flores a su alrededor en donde correspondía siguiendo la idea del boceto.
4.2 Luego con pintura negra y un delineador apliqué pintura negra para las plantas a su alrededor, además de algunos puntos y perfeccionar algunos detalles.
4.1 Inicié aplicando amarillo en la luna y la estrella, para posteriormente aplicar naranja y rojo en ambos. También con pintura roja pinté algunas flores a su alrededor en donde correspondía siguiendo la idea del boceto.

Also with the help of a wooden palette (usually the ones that come with ice cream) I used black paint and I distributed it in an irregular way in the lower part of the circle and this gives it a characteristic touch, besides it fits the style that we are handling.
5.2 Then with gray paint I made a base color for the flowers, then with undiluted black I painted a kind of mountains. To continue with gray and wetting a little the brush in water I painted under the mountains in black a kind of faded shadow. Also with blue paint I applied over the flowers giving them color.
5.3 To finish, I highlighted the stem with a little gray and black and added some dots and lines. And of course, I fixed with school glue the Artemisart logo created on paper on the leaf.

Así mismo con ayuda de una paleta de madera (normalmente las que traen los helados de paleta) utilicé pintura negra y la fui distribuyendo de forma irregular en la parte inferior del circulo y es que esto le proporciona un toque característico, ademas de acoplarse al estilo que estamos manejando.
5.2 Luego con pintura gris armé un color base para las flores, luego con negro sin diluir pinté una especie de montañas. Para continuar con gris y mojando un poco el pincel en agua pinté debajo de las montañas en negro una especie de sombra desvanecida. También con pintura azul apliqué sobre las flores dandoles color.
5.3 Para finalizar, remarqué el tallo con un poco de gris y negro y agregué algunos puntos y líneas. Y por supuesto, fijé con pega escolar el logo de Artemisart creado en papel en la hoja.
