Cell es un personaje de Dragon Ball Z con una personalidad muy Saiyajin cuya obsesión es lograr la perfección, no puede escapar de su programación a pesar de todo el poder que tiene, esto tiene sus detalles porque tiene momentos para cumplir su misión y no lo hace por ese elemento celular que lo compone y lo hace esclavo de buscar oponentes mas fuertes.
Tiene a mi parecer el plus de que argumentalmente maneja el aspecto del tiempo y a pesar de que la trama tiene sus detalles, siempre los conceptos tiempo son así ya que dejan residuos que son difíciles de explicar, es normal, por tanto destaco que su desarrollo en ese aspecto esta muy bien manejado, genera expectativas en el espectador para saber como llego, que es, cual es su intención y su relación con ese futuro trágico.
El modo en que usa las técnicas sorprende, aun recuerdo como si fuera visto ayer ese episodio donde usa técnicas muy conocidas, es como tomar lo mejor del anime y concentrarlo en un solo personaje, esto sucede mucho en varios animes, no es algo nuevo pero en este arco se destaca por lo bien ejecutado que está, impacta al espectador porque la estructura del guión tiene la dosis indicada, la forma en que sigue como cazador mas su estética insectoíde le agrega un tono aterrador.
Cell is a Dragon Ball Z character with a very Saiyajin personality whose obsession is to achieve perfection, he cannot escape from his programming despite all the power he has, this has its details because he has moments to fulfill his mission and he does not do it because of that cellular element that makes him a slave to look for stronger opponents.
It has in my opinion the plus that argumentatively handles the aspect of time and although the plot has its details, always the time concepts are like that because they leave residues that are difficult to explain, it is normal, therefore I emphasize that its development in that aspect is very well handled, generates expectations in the viewer to know how it arrived, what it is, what is its intention and its relationship with that tragic future.
The way he uses the techniques surprises, I still remember as if it was seen yesterday that episode where he uses very well known techniques, it is like taking the best of anime and concentrate it in a single character, this happens a lot in several anime, it is not something new but in this arc it stands out for how well executed it is, it impacts the viewer because the structure of the script has the right dose, the way he continues as a hunter plus his insectoid aesthetic adds a terrifying tone.
No es perfecto en su argumento, tiene sus momentos a criticar porque es un androide, de hecho la base de su ser que es su algoritmo se basa en cumplir su misión pero en el camino hay momentos que lo puede hacer y queda en el aire por conveniencia argumental para que el anime siga así como también otros momentos donde actúa de manera irracional, pienso es a criticar porque puede tener sus momentos Saiyajin pero se exagera volviéndolo a veces un Vegeta más sin necesidad.
Todo tiene un propósito y es llevar al anime a sus inicios, el arco relacionado con Goku pequeño tiene un trasfondo que se revela con Cell, el volver a esos torneos de antaño que tanto nos gustaron, tengo entendido el autor como tal no quería seguir el anime para esos momentos y se nota que ese aspecto rebeldía de no seguir le dio inspiración infinita que se ve ejecutada con la perfección de Cell.
Es un personaje muy exótico que se merece 8 chiquitos de 10 en esta parte de la reseña sin spoilers, su estética lo demuestra y aunque sigue la misma trama de fases lo cual es una repetición de formula por parte del autor, esta muy bien dosificado, la forma en que habla, el actor de doblaje le da una personalidad aplastante a Cell que acompañado por una serie de visuales con las que entro en conflicto porque una me agrada, otra no y la otra es perfección pasa a ser un personaje que logró quedarse en nuestras memorias porque es como ver un Saiyajin.

It is a very exotic character that deserves 8 out of 10 in this part of the review without spoilers, its aesthetics shows it and although it follows the same plot of phases which is a repetition of formula by the author, it is very well dosed, the way he speaks, the voice actor gives an overwhelming personality to Cell that accompanied by a series of visuals with which I enter in conflict because one I like, another not and the other is perfection happens to be a character who managed to stay in our memories because it is like seeing a Saiyajin.
Damos inicio a la parte de la Reseña con Spoiler para destacar esos momentos que más me gustaron del personaje.
Uno de sus mejores momentos porque vaya que son varios es cuando se posiciona para ejecutar un Kame Hame Ha, esto lo realiza frente a Piccolo y recuerdo esto de niño, ya son 20 años desde que vi esa escena y es un cuadro, un poster para colocar en mi cuarto.
Tal vez muchos no les agrade la forma insectoide de Cell pero a mi me maravilla porque los insectos son uno de los seres mas evolucionados de nuestro planeta, las cucarachas por ejemplo pueden sobrevivir radiación, por tanto es lógico y valido para el autor el pensar que esa estructura es la correcta, la ideal físicamente para un ser perfecto.
La escena esta bien estructurada porque primero se presenta y ejecuta distintas técnicas de los Guerreros Z en secuencia dejando en suspenso al espectador, yo no me esperaba nunca esto y su aspecto físico más el hecho de que sabíamos vendrían androides pero no este ser, todo el coctel sorpresa golpea en el estomago al espectador dejándole sin aliento y culmina con la técnica maestra de Goku que podemos ver destello de esto en la imagen anterior.
Un detalle a resaltar es que esa pose, enfoque de frente y movimiento de cámara lento se reflejara distintas veces durante el arco, en especial cuando Super Gohan elimina a Cell con su Kame Hame Ha de una mano con la misma pose, la misma secuencia estructural que acabo de mencionar pero con Goku en vez de Cell, son arte esas viñetas.
Un aspecto nostálgico por parte del autor para querer regresar a sus raíces es el hecho de que venía de dos sagas para poder explicar ese concepto Saiyajin que son el arco de Vegeta y el de Freezer, con los Androídes hace algo totalmente nuevo que es ese toque del tiempo acompañado de la Patrulla Roja que mucho detalle porque en Dragon Ball ya existía la estructura androide, el autor solo modernizo el arco con Cell y le uso para traer los Torneos de Pelea, eso si que es Dragon Ball puro en su máximos esplendor.
Let's start the spoiler part of the review to highlight those moments that I liked the most about the character.
One of his best moments because there are several is when he positions himself to execute a Kame Hame Ha, this is done in front of Piccolo and I remember this as a child, it's been 20 years since I saw that scene and it's a painting, a poster to put in my room.
Perhaps many do not like the insectoid form of Cell but I am amazed because insects are one of the most evolved beings on our planet, cockroaches for example can survive radiation, therefore it is logical and valid for the author to think that this structure is correct, physically ideal for a perfect being.
The scene is well structured because first different techniques of the Z Warriors are presented and executed in sequence leaving the viewer in suspense, I never expected this and their physical appearance plus the fact that we knew androids would come but not this being, the whole surprise cocktail hits the viewer in the stomach leaving him breathless and culminates with Goku's master technique that we can see a flash of this in the previous image.
A detail to highlight is that this pose, front focus and slow camera movement will be reflected several times during the arc, especially when Super Gohan eliminates Cell with his one-handed Kame Hame Ha with the same pose, the same structural sequence I just mentioned but with Goku instead of Cell, those vignettes are art.
A nostalgic aspect on the part of the author to want to return to his roots is the fact that he came from two sagas to be able to explain that Saiyajin concept that are the arc of Vegeta and Freezer, with the Androids he does something totally new that is that touch of time accompanied by the Red Patrol that much detail because in Dragon Ball the android structure already existed, the author only modernized the arc with Cell and used him to bring the Fighting Tournaments, that if that is pure Dragon Ball in its maximum splendor.
Esto se perdió totalmente al tratar de explorar ese origen de Goku pero se retoma gracias a Cell porque el en su esencia es también Saiyajin, tiene células de todos incluidos Goku y Vegeta por tanto en su ser existe ese amor por la batalla y el conseguir rivales mas fuertes, esta parte es totalmente coherente con la estupidez Saiyajin porque en efecto así son, tiene la victoria en sus manos y decide darles oportunidad de que se hagan mas fuertes por su orgullo, su soberbia de creer que su Perfección basada en esta idea del Dr Gero le garantiza la victoria sobre cualquier rival.
Son detalles Saiyajin que permiten la trama avance porque como mencione en la zona sin spoiler, Cell tuvo el momento para ganar fácilmente pero también hay que decir que Vegeta tuvo el momento para derrotarlo y no lo hizo por esa obsesión de buscar rivales fuertes y demostrar que los pueden vencer, ambos pecan de soberbios entonces tal y como sucede en las matemáticas, guionazo con guionazo se cancelan y obtenemos una trama bastante entretenida.
El torneo de Cell es recordar esos torneos de Dragon Ball pero tiene elementos a criticar que son la escala de poder, la batalla entre Goku y Cell puede gustar a muchos, de hecho a mi me entretiene de manera visual pero cuando veo que Cell da a luz a los Cell juniors y le da una paliza a todos los Guerreros Z incluido Goku, me indica que Cell pudo ganar cuando quisiera, solo que el aspecto trama necesita que los buenos ganen y esto se alarga para ver a Gohan superar en escala de poder a Cell.
La Batalla entre Gohan y Cell sí es sublime, de hecho es de los mejores momentos para Gohan pero no para Cell porque lo deja vomitando a Androide 18, por eso me agrada el Torneo de Cell ya que me ganan los bonitos recuerdos de esos torneos de cuando Goku era chiquito pero las escalas de Poder junto con PLot Twists son abrumadores durante este arco, nunca tuvimos una pelea de verdad pareja hasta el momento final del vs entre Kame Hame Has de Cell y Gohan donde la ayuda de los Guerreros Z, entre ellos Vegeta, establecen la derrota de un Cell que pudo ganar cuando quisiera.

This was totally lost when trying to explore Goku's origin but it is retaken thanks to Cell because in his essence he is also Saiyajin, he has cells of everyone including Goku and Vegeta so in his being there is that love for battle and getting stronger rivals, this part is totally coherent with the Saiyajin stupidity because in effect they are like that, he has the victory in his hands and decides to give them the opportunity to become stronger because of his pride, his arrogance of believing that his Perfection based on this idea of Dr. Gero guarantees him the victory over any rival.
They are Saiyajin details that allow the plot to advance because as I mentioned in the spoiler-free zone, Cell had the moment to win easily but it must also be said that Vegeta had the moment to defeat him and did not do it because of that obsession to look for strong rivals and prove that they can beat them, both sin of them are arrogant so as it happens in mathematics, script with script cancel each other out and we get a very entertaining plot.
The Cell tournament is reminiscent of those Dragon Ball tournaments but has elements to criticize which are the scale of power, the battle between Goku and Cell may please many, in fact I am visually entertained but when I see that Cell gives birth to the Cell juniors and gives a beating to all the Z Warriors including Goku, tells me that Cell could win whenever he wanted, only that the plot aspect needs the good guys to win and this is extended to see Gohan overcome Cell in scale of power.
The Battle between Gohan and Cell yes it is sublime, in fact it is one of the best moments for Gohan but not for Cell because it leaves him throwing up on Android 18, that's why I like Cell's Tournament as I'm won over by the nice memories of those tournaments when Goku was little but the Power scales along with PLot Twists are overwhelming during this arc, we never really had an even fight until the final moment of the vs between Cell's Kame Hame Has and Gohan where the help of the Z Warriors, including Vegeta, set up the defeat of a Cell who could have won anytime he wanted.
