🍄Loveshroom Fiber Art💕

Loveshroom by Sharklize.jpg

📕 Backstory

Lately I've been wanting to improve my needle felting skills by working on something simple in shape yet complex in color, so I could sooner move onto creating more detailed structures. My mind came to the conclusion that a mushroom would be the best fit for that criteria.

🧠 Thought Process

Mushrooms were chosen as the subject for this project because they can be as simple or as complicated as you want them, since they come in a variety of different shapes, sizes, and colors. (Also, just because it seemed fun of course!) So I decided I wanted to needle felt a classic red cap mushroom with hearts as its spots to add a creative twist! By using the image below as a reference, I set out to create the piece.

🍄 Conclusion

The most difficult part about making the Loveshroom was accidentally pushing the red colored fibers through other end of the cap to the white ones, making little red dots where I didnt want them. Luckily, I was able to just put more white on top of it to cover it up and it's now a mistake I won't make again now that I've learned of its existence! All in all, I adore how it came out and hope you like it too! Thank you so much for reading my post!
