En mi país Venezuela cuando se nos llega un momento importante casi siempre dejamos todo para último momento, es como una tradición sin tener la intención 🤭 y sale la típica frase “venezolano que se respeta deja todo para última hora”, y yo no soy la excepción, ja ja, justo el día anterior a que mi hija menor comenzara clases tuve que rápidamente hacerle su pantalón escolar, esta vez guiándome por patrón, algo nuevo para mi 😊

In my country, Venezuela, when an important moment comes, we almost always leave everything for the last minute, it's like a tradition without intending to 🤭 and the typical phrase comes out "Venezuelans who respect themselves leave everything for the last minute", and I am no exception, ha ha, just the day before my youngest daughter started school I had to quickly make her school pants, this time following a pattern, something new for me 😊
No me lo van a creer pero la tela para el pantalón de mi hija la compré en el mes de julio, y le di tantas largas que terminé haciéndolo el día anterior a ella comenzar clases, la alegría más grande que sentí al hacer este pantalón fue que por primera vez pude guiarme por patrones, en el curso que estoy haciendo de patronaje nos enseñaron a tomar medidas para hacer este tipo de patrón para pantalón.
Lo mejor de todo fue que pude cortar la tela en el Curso y ser guiada por la Profesora, ya tengo la experiencia armando pantalones, sólo que nunca me había guiado por un patrón o por medidas, como le digo a la Profesora, en costura me atrevo a hacer casi cualquier cosa, sólo que muchas veces no tengo la técnica para hacerlas y ella tiene ese conocimiento, y lo que más deseo en la costura es perfeccionarme cada día más para cada día ser mejor en mis trabajos.
You won't believe it, but I bought the fabric for my daughter's pants in July, and I made it so long that I ended up making it the day before she started classes. The greatest joy I felt when making these pants was that for the first time I was able to use patterns as a guide. In the pattern-making course I'm taking, they taught us how to take measurements to make this type of pattern for pants.
The best thing of all was that I was able to cut the fabric in the course and be guided by the teacher. I already have experience making pants, but I had never been guided by a pattern or measurements. As I tell the teacher, I dare to do almost anything in sewing, but many times I don't have the technique to do them and she has that knowledge. And what I want most in sewing is to improve myself every day to be better at my work every day.

En la costura siento que me lleva más tiempo el dibujar la prenda para luego cortarla que realizar las costuras, y esta es la gran diferencia de cuando hacemos patrones por medidas de la persona, al tener el patrón listo sólo debemos buscar la posición en la tela y cortar y esto nos hace más fácil el trabajo.
Luego de tener ya cortado mi pantalón comenzaré con las costuras, siempre comienzo por la parte trasera ya que me parece que es la más sencilla cuando no se lleva bolsillos, se puede unir ambas piezas y luego hacerle las pinzas o podemos hacerlo de forma individual haciendo las pinzas primero y luego uniendo ambas partes traseras
When sewing, I feel that it takes me longer to draw the garment and then cut it than to sew the seams, and this is the big difference when we make patterns based on the person's measurements. Once we have the pattern ready, we only have to find the position on the fabric and cut it, and this makes the job easier.
After I have my pants cut, I will begin with the seams. I always start with the back part, since I think it is the easiest when there are no pockets. You can join both pieces and then make the darts, or we can do it individually, making the darts first and then joining both back parts.
Luego continuamos con la parte delantera, primero dibujaremos el bolsillo, éste le vamos a dejar 5 cm en la parte superior y luego hacemos una línea en diagonal bajando 20 cm por un costado, el bolsillo lo vamos a cortar el largo de nuestra preferencia, en esta ocasión el bolsillo lo redondeé en una de las puntas, mayormente lo dejo cuadrado.
Si deseas que tu pantalón lleve pinzas en la parte delantera debes dejar en el excedente a un costado para poder cortar la tela, en este caso dejé 3 cm extra para hacerle una sola pinza, esta se puede hacer como las pinzas de atrás o sólo haciendo el pliegue, de esta forma lo haré yo, marco con tiza para luego hacer el doblez .

Continuaremos cosiendo la parte de la cremallera, no logré comprar a tiempo la cremallera en el color de la tela así que utilicé una que tenía guardada en color beis, esto no es problema ya que esta logra ocultarse, en el pantalón de mujer el pliegue para esconderla debe ir de derecha a izquierda, cosemos primero la parte interna y luego hacemos el dobles para la parte que será visible.
Para cortar la pretina debemos medir el ancho de la cintura de nuestro pantalón luego dejamos un excedente de unos 4 cm, hacemos las trabillas con retazos de tela de 4 cm de ancho doblamos y pasamos costura casi siempre le colocó a mis pantalones cinco trabillas 2 a la altura de los bolsillos, otras 2 en los costados y otra en el centro de la parte de atrás.

I almost always put five belt loops on my pants: 2 at the height of the pockets, another 2 on the sides and another in the center of the back.

Para dar los toque finales hacemos el ojal y cosemos el botón, el ruedo debemos rectificar que esté a la altura en lo que se desea, se corta el excedente y se le hace el ruedo de aproximadamente 1 cm de ancho, y así está listo el pantalón escolar para mi hija.

La experiencia de utilizar patrones en la costura me ha gustado muchísimo, la diferencia se nota al hacer los primeros trabajos y al ir haciendo las primeras pruebas en el cuerpo, este tipo de pantalones debe hacerse holgado ya que el Uniforme así lo exige, y sin embargo se puede notar como fácilmente se adapta al cuerpo, espero pronto poder compartirles la forma de hacer el patrón para pantalón, me despido deseándoles muchos éxitos y bendiciones 🤗🪡🧵❤️
