Celebrating a daughter's 15th birthday is very exciting, already at that stage of life that will mark a great importance for her. As mothers we always want to see our children healthy and when it is their birthday we want them to have a good time, at least a good sharing and a good cake to celebrate.
My friend and comadre asked me to make her daughter's dress, her daughter who chose the color and the model herself. She wanted a long dress, but not so voluminous, that is to say that it did not cover the width of the skirt, nothing extravagant.
This is a simple but very nice model, as it was made in double function, because it is a dress with a short skirt, and the long skirt is separate.
The dress has a short but billowy skirt and a lace blouse. The long skirt I made it wide, although I also made it with another fabric, a little more rigid, ideal to give volume to the skirt.
Celebrar los 15 a帽os de una hija es muy emocionante, ya en esa etapa de la vida que marcar谩 una gran importancia para ella. Las madres siempre queremos ver a nuestros hijos bien saludables y cuando se trata de cumplir a帽o que la pasen muy bien, por lo menos un buen compartir y una buena y torta para poder celebrar.
Mi amiga y comadre me pide que le hago el vestido de su hija, su hija quien ella misma escogi贸 el color y el modelo. Ella quiso un vestido largo, pero que no tuviera tanto volumen, es decir que no abarcara mucho el ancho de la falda, nada extravagante.
Este es un modelo sencillo pero muy lindo, ya que se hizo en doble funci贸n, porque es un vestido con falda corta, y la falda larga es separada.
El vestido de falda corta pero ondulada, y su blusa de blonda. La falda larga la hice ancha, aunque tambi茅n le hice su armador, con otra tela un poco m谩s r铆gida ideal para darle volumen a la falda.
The blouse has a few cuts on the front, ie cut the front part and two of the sides, for the part of the back are two parts, and a strip that covers part of the shoulders.
Everything was cut 2 pieces of each, that is the blue fabric and the lace fabric. Although this lace fabric was not the one we wanted, but it was the one we got, but it still looked very good.
I assembled each part of the blouse, leaving it all lined on the inside without showing the seams.
I also placed the shoulder straps on the shoulders.
For the skirt I cut everything in a circle, one longer than the other since it is a double skirt.
I sewed the skirt next to the blouse so I could place the zipper.
La blusa tiene unos cortes en la parte del frente, es decir cortar la parte del frente y dos de los lados, para la parte de la espalda son dos partes, y una franja que cubre parte de los hombros.
Todo fue cortado 2 piezas de cada uno, es decir la tela azul y en la tela de blonda. Aunque esta tela de blonda, no era la que se quer铆a, pero fue la que se consigui贸 pero igual qued贸 muy bien.
Fui armando cada parte de la blusa dejando que quede toda forrada por dentro sin que se viera las costuras.
Tambi茅n fui colocando los tirantes en la parte de los hombros.
Para la falda corte todo en un circulo uno m谩s largo que otro ya que es doble falda.
Cos铆 la falda junto la parte de la blusa y as铆 poder colocar el cierre.
For the long skirt I cut it in two parts because I couldn't cut the width of the fabric like the small one, and I also cut the tull fabric in the same length. I joined and ruffled the blue fabric and the tull fabric on top, and then placed a waistband about 6cm wide.
I made a bow and decorated it with a silver color design. I sew this bow on the waistband at once so that when the skirt is put on, the bow is already on.
With a silver colored trim strip, which was easy to cut and sew, which I placed on the shoulders and waistband of both the long skirt and the waistband of the dress, all sewn by hand.
All this work was done with time in advance, with a lot of patience and dedication in order to show this beautiful dress.
Para la falda larga la cort茅 en dos parte ya que por el ancho de la tela no pod铆a cortar como la peque帽a, y tambi茅n cort茅 del mismo tama帽o largo la tela de tull. Fui uniendo y arruchando un poco la tela azul y la de tull arriba, para luego colocar una pretina de unos 6cm de ancho.
Le hice un lazo y lo decor茅 con un dise帽o de color plateado. Este lazo lo coso de una vez en la pretina para que cuando se coloque la falda ya tenga su lazo puesto.
Con una tira de adorno de color plateado, que fue f谩cil de cortar y de poder coser, el cual le coloqu茅 en la parte de los hombros y en la cintura, tanto de la falda larga y en la cintura del vestido, todo cosido a mano.
Todo este trabajo fue hecho con tiempo de anticipaci贸n, con mucha paciencia y dedicaci贸n y as铆 poder mostrar este lindo vestido.
She came out in her full dress, after a presentation, and dancing, she took off her long skirt and was able to keep her short dress on so she felt more comfortable all night.
The quincea帽era loved the way it looked, and her gathering and sharing looked great. She always wanted something simple so she could share with her loved ones and have a great time.
Ella sali贸 con su vestido completo, despu茅s de una presentaci贸n, y bailar, se quit贸 la falda larga y poderse quedar con el vestido corto, y as铆 sentirse m谩s c贸moda toda la noche.
A la quincea帽era le gust贸 mucho como le qued贸, adem谩s su reuni贸n y compartir qued贸 muy bien. Ella siempre quiso algo sencillo y as铆 poder compartir con sus seres queridos mas allegados y pasarla muy bien.
It was a great job making this dress, taking into account every detail and gluing the ribbon by hand without showing the thread.
