Diseñando ando | Design process

Diseñar y/o crear a ese personaje y convertirlo en muñeco tejido es una de esas actividades que mas me agradan. Aquí se combinan: números (al momento de escribir el patrón o guía para tejer), formas (figuras geométricas y geometría espacial), colores y texturas. Ahora estoy explorando más sobre las formas y tamaño finales.

Designing and/or creating that character and turning it into a crocheted doll is one of those activities that I like the most. Here we combine: numbers (when writing the pattern), shapes (geometric figures and spatial geometry), colors and textures. I am now exploring more about the final shapes and sizes.

Como sabrán, Titi está inspirado en el cuy número 1 que tenemos en casa...luego llegaron Witi, Misk'i y sus crías. Titi, es un cuy educado porque no grita por comida y anda durmiendo tranquilo, eso lo aprendió de sus amigazos los conejos.

La buena noticia es que ya está testeado y disponible el patrón de Titi, tanto para Castellano como para el Inglés. Eso me alegra un montón, porque ya puedo pasar a los siguientes diseños.

As you know, Titi is inspired by the number 1 guinea pig we have at home... then came Witi, Misk'i and their offspring. Titi is an educated guinea pig because he doesn't shout for food and he sleeps quietly, he learnt that from his friends the rabbits.

The good news is that Titi's pattern is already tested and available, both for Spanish and English. I'm really happy about that, because now I can move on to the next designs.

Para este diseño elegí la temática Halloween. Aquí recordé el reto que una vez hizo nuestra amiga Irene con el #halloweek (o algo así). Al inicio tejí un gatito con alas, luego lo cambié por un Saxra, quien me agradó más. Aún no dicen los resultados, aunque de todas maneras este patrón saldrá para octubre.

For this design I chose the Halloween theme. Here I remembered the challenge that our friend Irene once did with the #halloweek (or something like that). At the beginning I crocheted a little cat with wings, then I changed it for a Saxra, who I liked better. They don't say the results yet, but anyway this pattern will be out in October for those dates.

Luego de diseñar a Saxra halloween, recordé que tenía pendiente diseñar a los 3 Saxras y en eso estoy. Al inicio me equivoqué con la posición de las piernas y brazos. Luego me dí cuenta que las piernas estaban algo pequeñas, por lo que las corregí de inmediato. En estas semanas publicaré la convocatoria (por Instagram) para el "testeo" de los Saxras. Como parte del patrón, publiqué un video explicando la articulación de los brazos utilizando el mismo hilo.

After designing Saxra halloween, I remembered that I had to design the 3 Saxras and that's what I'm doing. At the beginning I made a mistake with the position of the legs and arms. Then I realised that the legs were a bit small, so I corrected them immediately. In the next few weeks I will publish the call for entries (via Instagram) for the ‘testing’ of the Saxras. As part of the pattern, I published a video explaining the articulation of the arms using the same yarn.
