THE PROCESS OF HOW I MADE A DRESS FOR MY MUM

Hi guys, it's been a wonderful week so far and I want to explain how I made a dress for my mum to wear to work this morning. I am glad that my hardwork of learning fashion designing is beginning to show off. Although I make I lot but I would have finished before remembering to take pictures of the process and explore them here but that would change soon.

So we had this material at home and then we decided to make a short dress and mix it up with black net. It came out pretty well at the end.

The picture above that was the material folded into two halves to measure and cut out the front and back upper bodice. Yes we had to detach the upper part from the lower part. It's all style

After cutting the back and the front, we can see that the front neck part is deeper than the front with 4" and the back is higher. All because she is an elderly person hence no need to expose much body. The armhole is the depth of 8" with a shoulder of 15".

This is the lower bodice from the waist to the knee length, both back and front

That's the net material we are using for the middle part

I used a manual sewing machine to do the joining, with light issues over here its hard to depend on light. That me joking the fabric, the darts and so on.

That's the adittion of the gather net to the half length, it was added to sort of cover the belly part a bit and it's also a trending style.

The final part was the addition of the sleeves, used the net and taped it at the middle with the material. It came out pretty well at the end.

The final result, isn't it beautiful?. In other words this was the process I went through to achieve this beautiful design.
