Desde hace unos meses he pensado en buscar las estrategias adecuadas para mostrar y ofrecer los amigurumis que voy tejiendo. Casi todos los días tejo uno aunque sea para llavero. Reconozco que desde que empecé con el primero quedé súper enamorada de esta técnica. Del tejido me gustaría aprender de todo, pero de verdad verdad les digo que tejer muñequitos como los llaman muchos hace muy bien para mi salud.
Hace unos días también decidí tejer libremente. Me refiero a tomar mis hilos y el crochet y dejarme llevar por la inspiración. Me encanta poder concentrarme en lo que estoy haciendo sin importar más nada. La mayoría de las veces elijo proyectos que pueda terminar en un solo día.
¿Qué haré con todos ellos? Ya les he contado que mi lema es "tejo y vendo" o "vendo lo que tejo". Son muy pocos los encargos que llegan, sin embargo nada me detiene. Tejo y tejo porque me gusta. Además ahora los comparto con ustedes y siempre obtengo sus aportes para comprar más material. No obstante yo sería muy feliz de saber que mis amigurumis están siendo vendidos en alguna tienda del país.
Oportunamente nuestra amiga @kattycrochet y la comunidad #needleworkmonday nos invitan a participar en un nuevo concurso en el que mostraremos un proyecto elaborado con mezclilla o tela de jeans. Entonces pensé en hacer algo que me permita probar una estrategia de venta. MI PROPIO EXHIBIDOR DE AMIGURUMIS PORTÁTIL.
For a few months now I have been thinking about finding the right strategies to show and offer the amigurumis I am knitting. Almost every day I knit one even if it's for a keychain. I admit that since I started with the first one I fell in love with this technique. I would like to learn everything about knitting, but I can tell you that knitting dolls, as many call them, is very good for my health.
A few days ago I also decided to knit freely. I mean to take my yarns and crochet and let myself be carried away by inspiration. I love being able to concentrate on what I am doing no matter what. Most of the time I choose projects that I can finish in a single day.
What will I do with all of them? I have already told you that my motto is "I knit and sell" or "I sell what I knit". Very few commissions come in, but nothing stops me. I knit and knit because I like it. Besides, now I share them with you and I always get your input to buy more material. However I would be very happy to know that my amigurumis are being sold in any store in the country.
Opportunely our friend @kattycrochet and the #needleworkmonday community invite us to participate in a new contest in which we will show a project made with denim or jeans fabric. So I thought I'd do something that would allow me to test a sales strategy. MY OWN PORTABLE AMIGURUMI DISPLAY.
Este será una muestra que tomaré como referencia para realizar luego un display más grande donde pueda guardar amigurumis de diferentes tamaños.
This will be a sample that I will take as a reference to make a larger display where I can keep amigurumis of different sizes.
Los materiales básicos que usaré para mí proyecto son:

Para realizar este proyecto opté por buscar entre la ropa que mis hijos casi no usan, las revisé y encontré entre ellas un jean abandonado casi en lo último del closet. Estaba con el ruedo descosido y ya viejito. Lo lavé y al estar seco inicié la labor. El pantalón es de estos que estuvieron de moda hace una década, color azul tirando a gris, con apariencia de desteñido, pero además es bastante viejo. Me sirvió para hacer al menos el modelo de lo que deseo tener para mis amigurumis. Empecemos.
To make this project I chose to search through the clothes that my children hardly wear, I looked through them and found among them an abandoned jean almost at the bottom of the closet. It was with the hem untucked and already old. I washed it and when it was dry I started working on it. The pants are one of those that were in fashion a decade ago, blue to gray, with a faded look, but also quite old. I used it to make at least the model of what I want to have for my amigurumis. Let's start.
☘️ Lo primero es abrir el pantalón y cortar ambas piernas. Verificar las medidas. Para mi proyecto usé una pierna entera. Luego medí procurando dar forma de una vez al bolsito. Las telas que corté las encaré para usarlas dobles. La intención es hacerlo reforzado.
☘️ The first thing is to open the pants and cut both legs. Check the measurements. For my project I used one whole leg. Then I measured trying to shape the bag at once. The fabrics I cut I faced to use double. The intention is to make it reinforced.
Estando en plena labor recibí la visita de mi nieta. Así que hice un pausa y luego de abrazarla y conversar con ella me fui a la cocina a preparar una merienda. En casa a todos nos gusta el arroz con leche. Se hace rápido y fácil. Lo metí en la nevera un rato mientras hacíamos una pulsera para Sofía. Ella estaba muy contenta. La amo ❤️
While I was in the middle of my work, I received a visit from my granddaughter. So I took a break and after hugging her and talking to her, I went to the kitchen to prepare a snack. At home we all like rice pudding. It's quick and easy to make. I put it in the fridge for a while while we made a bracelet for Sofia. She was very happy. I love her ❤️
☘️ Al otro día continué con parte de la decoración. Al bolsito solo había que hacerle las costuras. Para embellecer el bolso decidí realizar apliques tejidos. Entre tejer flores y mariposas pasé parte de la mañana. Los mejores momentos del día es cuando estoy tejiendo, las horas pasan muy rápido. Aproveché para hacer una flor nueva. Les voy a mostrar en foto el paso a paso. Es sencillo. Se toma un lápiz de grafito, en él haremos puntos bajos para envolverlo. Tejí aproximadamente 45 ó 50 puntos. Retiré el ganchillo sin soltar ni cortar la hebra del tejido. Luego agarré el hilo rosado y los enganché en el primer punto del tejido realizado. Subí esa vuelta tejiendo seis abanicos. Dejando dos puntos bajos sin trabajar antes y después del abanico. Después de completados los seis abanicos se remata y se deja la hebra larga. Montamos la hebra en la aguja lanera y luego atravesamos desde el principio del tejido. Halamos suavemente hasta cerrar la flor.
The next day I continued with some of the decoration. The bag only needed to be stitched. To embellish the bag I decided to make woven appliques. Between knitting flowers and butterflies I spent part of the morning. The best time of the day is when I'm knitting, the hours go by very fast. I took the opportunity to make a new flower. I am going to show you the step by step in a photo. It is simple. You take a graphite pencil, on it we will make low stitches to wrap it. I knitted approximately 45 or 50 stitches. I removed the crochet hook without loosening or cutting the yarn from the fabric. Then I grabbed the pink yarn and hooked them into the first stitch of the knitted fabric. I went up that round knitting six fans. Leaving two low stitches unworked before and after the fan. After the six fans are completed, finish off and leave the long strand of yarn. We mount the yarn on the knitting needle and then we go through it from the beginning of the weaving. Gently pull until the flower is closed.
☘️ Finalizada la flor empecé a tejer las mariposas. Aquí pude escoger entre varios modelos, seleccionando el más sencillo. Quedan muy lindas y se tejen rápido.

☘️ Quise hacer otro modelo de flor y realicé este que también es sumamente sencillo. De pronto recordé modelos de flores que hacía rato que no tejía. Siempre muy fáciles porque para estos proyectos requiero variedad y a veces hay que hacer varias florecitas.

☘️ Me encanta tejer amapolas. Son lindas. Recuerdo haber tejido muchas cuando practicaba los puntos básicos. Las amapolas tienen un significado muy bonito, aunque hay muchas interpretaciones. Ahora es un momento propicio para recordarlo. Las amapolas son flores que han crecido en terrenos donde han ocurrido guerras. Se dice que durante la primera guerra mundial los campos florecieron, justo donde habían caído soldados en batalla. En otros países como Japón esta flor significa amor y pasión.
☘️ I love to knit poppies. They are cute. I remember knitting many when I was practicing basic stitches. Poppies have a very nice meaning, although there are many interpretations. Now is an auspicious time to remember it. Poppies are flowers that have grown on land where wars have occurred. It is said that during the first world war the fields bloomed, just where soldiers had fallen in battle. In other countries like Japan this flower means love and passion.
☘️ Una vez que terminé de hacer todos los apliques procedí a coser el bolsito. Lo que hice fue medir, cortar y coser también el plástico. Estos serán los bolsillos donde guardaré los amigurumis. Cosí el plástico a la tela de jean usando hilo nylon.
☘️ Once I finished making all the appliques I proceeded to sew the little bag. What I did was to measure, cut and sew the plastic as well. These will be the pockets where I will keep the amigurumis. I sewed the plastic to the jean fabric using nylon thread.
☘️ El resto fue hacer más adornos y decorar el bolsito. La idea principal es hacerlo muy llamativo. Que logre atrapar la atención y las miradas. Le colgué llaveros de abalorios, cintas, amigurumis y otros.
☘️ The rest was to make more embellishments and decorate the little bag. The main idea is to make it very eye-catching. That it manages to catch the attention and glances. I hung beaded keychains, ribbons, amigurumis and others.

I hope you like this project. I loved it. Now I have to organize a better jean fabric to make it bigger. As you can see it is very flirty, at least I will be able to display some small amigurumis.
