En mi experiencia (que no es mucha) hemos tenido altos y bajos, pero hemos resistido y salido adelante.
Oremos a Dios para que también nos ayude a salir de esto juntos y que pronto el mercado se restablezca para continuar felices y contentos. Por ahora las invito a "ocuparse y no preocuparse” si te gusta tejer, bordar o coser, este es un buen momento para tomar las agujas y crear.
¿Conoces la flor de África?
Hoy les vengo a traer un proyecto que tenía por hacer desde hace un tiempo; se trata de un forro para el volante tejido en crochet y junto con él dos protectores para el cinturón de seguridad. Este año he querido tomarme el tiempo para arreglar y decorar cada espacio en los que me desenvuelvo.
Quisiera darle un toque femenino imprimiéndole orden, color, limpieza y que me brinde alegría cada vez que los vea. Estas sensaciones por supuesto son extensivas a todo el que se acerque a mi espacio, a mi vida.
Las flores de África me gustan mucho, estos sencillos modelos vienen en diferentes formas, ya sea cuadrada, hexagonal, circular o como tú la prefieras.
Hace un tiempo me di a la tarea de saber de dónde proviene, porque le llaman así y encontré una gran gama de flores de África de todos colores. A partir de allí entendí porque son tan bellas.

Con esta forma de flor he realizado bolsos, monederos, gorros y hasta un balón de futbol llegué a tejer una vez. Lo primero que debes tener para un proyecto como este es "paciencia" y veraz que todo va saliendo adelante paso a paso.
Este proyecto fue fácil, me pase varios días tejiendo hexágonos mientras veía mi novela "Pedro el escamoso" ¡Si, otra vez! 🤣 cuando ya tenía varios listos me fui al carro y tomé algunas medidas (un aplauso a mi esposo por ayudarme). Con una idea más clara en mi cabeza me fui a casa y continué. Yo no sé ustedes pero cuando inicio un proyecto no puedo parar hasta verlo finalizado.
En total tejí 11 hexágonos, luego los uní con punto raso cerrando el círculo por completo.
En el siguiente paso fue la parte más complicada porque no tenía ni idea de cómo rellenar cada espacio entre flor y flor. Por más que busqué tutoriales y me tomé mi tiempo para pensar no logré conseguir nada que me ayudara. A la final probé tejiendo 6 puntos altos en cada espacio, cortando la hebra para pasar al siguiente hasta tenerlos todos listos, como lo ven en la imagen.
Luego me ubiqué con mi aguja e hilo en uno de los picos del hexágono y tejía 4 puntos bajos, 2 puntos medios y 10 puntos altos, uno en cada punto de la base, luego continuaba con 2 puntos medios y 4 puntos bajos, así hasta llegar al otro pico. Repetimos este proceso por toda la vuelta y luego en el otro lado.
Hice el mismo procedimiento con los protectores del cinturón de seguridad, pero a estos agregué una vuelta más de puntos altos y punto abanico en las esquinas. Por ultimo tejí unos ojales y coloqué unos botones.
Ustedes no se imaginan lo feliz que me encuentro al ver este tutorial en mi blog, es un sueño hecho realidad, mi carro se ve hermoso desde lejos y de cerca se ve aún mejor.
Los protectores del cinturón me van a servir muchísimo ya que siempre me fastidia el rose de la cinta con mi piel, pero ahora es distinto porque me coloco mi protector y se siente suave.
Una recomendación que les quiero hacer y es que para que esto funcione debe quedar el tejido bien ajustado al volante, porque si no se te va a deslizar y esto no puede suceder.

Do you know the flower of Africa?
Today I come to bring you a project I had to do for a while; it is a crocheted steering wheel lining and along with it two seat belt protectors. This year I wanted to take the time to arrange and decorate every space where I live.
I would like to give it a feminine touch by giving it order, color, cleanliness and that it brings me joy every time I see it. These sensations are of course extensive to everyone who approaches my space, my life.
I really like the flowers of Africa, these simple models come in different shapes, either square, hexagonal, circular or as you prefer it.
Some time ago I set myself the task of finding out where it comes from, why it is called this way and I found a wide range of African flowers of all colors. From there I understood why they are so beautiful.

With this flower shape I have made bags, purses, hats and even a soccer ball once. The first thing you must have for a project like this is "patience" and be sure that everything goes ahead step by step.
This project was easy, I spent several days knitting hexagons while watching my novel "Pedro el escamoso" Yes, again! 🤣 when I had several ready I went to the car and took some measurements (a round of applause to my husband for helping me). With a clearer idea in my head I went home and continued. I don't know about you but when I start a project I can't stop until I see it finished.
In total I knitted 11 hexagons, then I joined them with satin stitch closing the circle completely.
The next step was the most complicated part because I had no idea how to fill each space between flower and flower. As much as I searched for tutorials and took my time to think I couldn't find anything to help me. In the end I tried knitting 6 high stitches in each space, cutting the yarn to move on to the next one until I had them all ready, as you can see in the image.
Then I positioned myself with my needle and yarn in one of the peaks of the hexagon and knit 4 single crochets, 2 medium stitches and 10 double crochets, one in each point of the base, then I continued with 2 medium stitches and 4 double crochets, and so on until I reached the other peak. Repeat this process all the way around and then on the other side.
I did the same procedure with the seatbelt protectors, but I added one more row of double crochet and a fan stitch in the corners. Finally I knitted some buttonholes and placed some buttons.
You can't imagine how happy I am to see this tutorial on my blog, it's a dream come true, my car looks beautiful from far away and up close it looks even better.
The belt protectors are going to help me a lot because I always get annoyed with the rose of the belt with my skin, but now it is different because I put my protector and it feels soft.
One recommendation I want to make is that for this to work, the fabric must be well adjusted to the steering wheel, because otherwise it will slip and this can not happen.
