I looked in my patchwork bag and found several fabrics with floral motifs and chose four, then the dilemma was which one to use, in the end I decided on the purple background and started to make the outfit, without a specific pattern I was developing the ideas and discarding the one I didn't like, the design consists of a pink top and a wide floral skirt with several layers.
Saludos amigos amantes de los hilos y las agujas que tengan una excelente semana en unión de sus seres queridos, me siento feliz de compartir mi entrada al NeedleWork Your Barbie Contest! - 2024 Edition, es la primera vez que participo en este lindo concurso y además realizo un atuendo para Barbie, agradezco la invitación de @needleworkmonday y @mayifiestas; la experiencia fue divertida y un tanto difícil al principio, regularmente coso ropa para bebés y de hecho me encanta, son mis proyectos favoritos, en esta ocasión el tomar las medidas a la muñeca y concretar la ideas que tenia tomó más tiempo del que imaginé.
Busqué en mi bolsa de retazos y encontré varias telas con motivos florales y elegí cuatro, luego el dilema era cual usar, al final me decidí por la de fondo morado e inicié a confeccionar el atuendo, sin un patrón específico iba desarrollando las ideas y descartando la que no me gustaba, el diseño consiste en un top rosa y una falda ancha floreada de varias capas

Para hacer la falda corté seis círculos de diferentes tamaños y decoré con cinta en los bordes, en este punto tuve un poco de dificultad porque la cinta es muy rígida y pegarla en curvas se complica ya que no tiene elongación, además creo que la aguja que usé no era la adecuada, descosí varias veces la cinta y en los tres últimos círculos pegué sesgo, por su elasticidad se trabaja más cómodo y rápido
Then I organized the circles from smallest to largest, pinned them and cut a circle in the center to make the waistband of the skirt, then I sewed a three centimeters white elastic that will serve as waistband; while sewing I remembered my childhood and the dolls I had, which brought their clothes on a paper poster, it was fun to cut them out and dress the dolls with their fashionable outfits.
Luego organicé los círculos de menor a mayor, sujeté con alfileres y corté un círculo en el centro para hacer la cintura de la falda, luego cosí un elástico blanco de tres centímetros que servirá de pretina; mientras cosía recordaba mi infancia y las muñecas que tuve, las cuales traían su ropa en un afiche de papel, era divertido recortarlas y vestir a las muñecas con sus atuendos fashion.
