Rainbow over Lava Field on Way to Town Today

Warm greetings again.

A few of us from the intentional community where I live needed to go to town this morning. Pāhoa, our destination, is generally a very laid back hippie town, approximately 15 miles from home.

As we were driving this morning we noticed this gorgeous rainbow as we were passing the lava fields (from the 2018 eruption) on the way. All of these photos were taken while the car was moving, as can be seen from the changing landscape.

Most of the arc of the rainbow was visible at one point, though sadly I missed some really spectacular shots. I also didn't zoom in at all, to try to capture the full arc of the rainbow, so its colors do not appear as distinct in these photos as they did to my eyes when I took them.

Even though these may not be the most stunning rainbow shots around, I think you'll agree that they are still quite beautiful.

Thank you for taking time and attention to visit with me for a few moments as I share this snapshot from my world. 🙏 💚
