Buckeye Urban Tree

Hi friends
IMG_8589 copia.jpg

Today I present to you this tree that accompanies me every morning when I walk to go to work.
The horse chestnut or Aesculus hippocastanum if we call it by its real name.
Now it is blooming and it is a wonder how it welcomes me, with its multi-colored flowers it depends on the sun and ripening.

When they are just in bloom their flowers are white and almost look like orchids.

But as the days go by, it turns to deep pink in pyramid-shaped bouquets.

Two months ago they were without leaves but in a few days they have sprouted with the sun and are now in full bloom.

When the flowers fall, their fruits come out wrapped in a fleshy skin and with spikes, everything is full of them, from there will come the chestnuts, one or two fruits with hard skin and a shiny brown.

When the day is stormy they end up on the ground in any puddle like this time.
The October winds make the intensity pull them from the chestnut tree and one sunny day we can see them shine.

In autumn they already appear in our market it is not that it is not edible but if the chestnuts that we eat, roasted or in sweet.
Glace brown that dessert worthy of the gods of Olympus, soft and delicious sweet.

But today I am satisfied that my way to work is guarded by green trees full of white and pink flowers at the top, as if telling me that my day will be wonderful and that I am the luckiest woman on earth.
