My Cute Flowering Cactuses.

A few months back my wife and myself visited a flower nursery just out of our town of Byron Bay and on that particular visit we bought some very unusual cactuses that have been growing very healthy and even flowering up with some amazing pretty little flowers so we had decided to go back to this flower nursery to buy some more of these cute little fellas.

As we are all aware of having indoor or outdoor cactuses they are a easy plant to take care of with the proper care , been a succulent plant they store water in their stem or foliage and depending on their types only need to be watered every two to three months were as some just need a spray of water ones a week. Never over water them as they will get water logged and die.

Cactuses as we know come in many shapes and sizes and with the proper care can live for decades with most of them boosting the most amazingly beautiful colored flowers like these ones have shown us , i have never seen such adorable cute flowers almost don't look real till you touch them.

Once we saw this Star Cactus bloom with this pretty yellow flower it was going on our list to buy a couple more of these ones they are a great indoor cactus sitting happily on our window shelf. Even the ones we saw at the nursery garden on the weekend were blooming it's the season of blooming for them i presume.

These cactuses are a member of the Feather Cactus but don't be fooled they may look like a soft feathery cactus on top but under them feathers are some pretty sharp spines the feathers are only there acting as a camouflage.

These little cute cactuses are a species of the Astrophytum asterias and mainly originated from Texas in the United States and Mexico also known as the sand dollar cactus bringing good fortune they say. These cactuses love light and sunny conditions wanting to spend hours in direct sunlight every day.

These little fellas that actually resemble a small pumpkin only grow to a diameter of 3 to 4 cm and same in height and grow very slow it can take them up to 10 years to get to full growth. These can cost from $10 AUS to $50 AUS depending on there age.

It was definitely going to be another hard choice in seeing which ones we were going to take home for me , i just love them all mainly the small ones as they are easy to handle and move around the house without any great deal of effort and look great indoors.
