It so fulfilling being at the peak of the mountain and seeing a marvelous view of Tuburan yet my trembling legs wouldn't hide while taking pictures. I always mentioned on my previous adventures that I have a fear of heights nonetheless, I am motivated to climb because there's more waiting for me at the top! The beauty of nature as always! I can't resist gazing at the view made me fall in love again and again! This never gets old and out of style.
So, allow me to share with you our 20-minute climb up to Atabay Peak, Tuburan, Cebu. Let's go!
From the drop-off area, we parked our motorbikes at a store where we also bought snacks and viand (canned goods) for lunch. Seeing this signage here keeps me motivated to go on.
After a few minutes of gaining our strength from the store, we continued to climb according to Mam Smile, it was just a 20-minute climb to the top. Our first option was, to have lunch in the store but Mam Smile insisted on having our lunch at the peak yet everybody agreed because why not? It's our favorite part of the trip. Hehe
Indeed, in less than 20 minutes were already here at this peak. Catching my breath as I am almost there. Looking at it seems just a normal boulder of rocks but there's more waiting for us ahead!
As I finally climbed the rocks, this was a lovely eye-opener that probably falls in love againnnnnn🤗🥰. Look at those landscapes of the hill, home of verdant trees, and of course, its overall impact on the serenity and tranquility of the place.
While taking a rest for a while, I enjoyed taking pictures of him resting and exploring the rest of the place. I think he enjoyed this trip as this was our first travel together this year.
Rocks here were a sort of rough and sharp. It's hard so one can rely on its sturdiness while marveling at its peak. The other part of the peak has a combination of white and dark gray.
Got the chance to scrutinize the pillars and metal bars built in this peak. For me, it would be awesome if the LGU would let people explore it's natural beauty of nature, there's no need to add because it's already fascinating. However, the started projects were left unfinished I think due to scarcity of budget. Scattered wires were evident from other photos as well. They have solar energy to provide light during night times.

Just enjoying myself while looking at the panoramic view from the peak. I was just sitting because you know already🤣. I just dare to climb up here even though I crawled just to be here🥹. Yet, envy I am as I saw them walking like it's just a normal path🥹. Someday, little by little I will conquer my fears that sooner or later I can stand on the mountain with confidence😉.
I went to the other side of the peak while crawling😁 and savored the moment while we were here. And..... Someone picked me up so I could stand since I was trembling already.
Oh, my husband! hehe. He held my hand and together we stood with confidence. This time my knees weren't trembling anymore because I knew I was safe with him. Chaar!🤣🥰. My hike buddies and others were teasing already hehehe (kilig yarn😁).
This trip has a lot of realizations in life. The essence of completeness and security. We have to prioritize our mental health to give ourselves time to heal our inner peace. And by slowly embracing our flaws, everything will be fine and we'll be contented with everything.
