First of all, I'm so sorry because I can't join with you guys on the last week contest 😔 you know, the last two weeks have been very hectic for me...

For your information, I have a small volunteer community working in the field of education located in my village in the interior of the island of Borneo, and two weeks ago I went to the capital city to pick up several packages of books sent by several donors for donation to the children who take refuge in my community.

Therefore, I spend a lot of time traveling lately, so I don't have time to create new content to participate in the AN contest at all... I'm so sorry for that guys... ☹

But don't worry guys, today, I have returned to my village, and I'm ready to adventure again in the jungle of Borneo to find all the unique things that nature has provided to share with you guys here, in the Amazing Nature Contest _

Okay, at this beautiful occasion, I wanna share to you guys about the leaf decay process.
I've written a post about it before by the way, it's in Amazing Nature contest August 2021-#3, but however, this new one is different guys _

Look at this one, first of all, I just gonna explain little bit to you guys about this plant. Local people called this plant as "Tumbuhan Tapa", or Tapa Plant.

This plant grows a lot in the Borneo forest, its size is not too big and has a characteristic that is the side of the leaves that are jagged (looks like saw blades isn't it ?) _

But what I will highlight this time is about how the leaves of this plant decay. Just look at this one, how beautiful this is.

The leaves rot by forming a very unique motif, there are several lines resembling the bones of the leaves that start to brown and start to dry up.

Honestly, Tapa plant is the only plant I've ever seen, which undergoes a process of decay in this way, because other plants rot randomly, without having a particular motif on the leaves like this one. _
