Hola apreciada comunidad. Agradecida de DIOS por permitirme seguir compartiendo con todos ustedes otro de mis contenidos. En mi post del día de hoy les estaré hablando sobre uno de los animales que forma parte de la variada fauna venezolana como lo es el mono capuchino.

Hello dear community. Grateful to GOD for allowing me to continue sharing with all of you another of my contents. In today's post I will be talking about one of the animals that is part of the varied Venezuelan fauna such as the capuchin monkey.

De Estos ejemplares hay tres especies similares en Venezuela distribuidos en el estado Amazonas, Isla de Margarita, Lago de Maracaibo
Llanos Guariqueños, Piedemonte Barines y en los llanos Apureños.
Son muy conocidos ya que son animales curiosos y sociables. Tienen un pelaje largo y erizado de color pardo oscuro, la cabeza es un poco más clara y con una mancha negruzca distintiva en forma de capucha que llega hasta la frente esta es la razón de su denominación; el rostro es achatado, desnudo y oscuro. Tiene una cola larga y peluda con el extremo enrollado. Son animales diurnos que viven y se desplazan en grupos entre 8 y más individuos.

Of these specimens there are three similar species in Venezuela distributed in the Amazonas state, Margarita Island, Maracaibo Lake, Llanos Guariqueños, Piedemonte Barines and in the plains of Apureños.

They are very well known because they are curious and sociable animals. They have a long and bristly coat of dark brown color, the head is a little lighter and with a distinctive blackish spot in the form of a hood that reaches the forehead, this is the reason for its name; the face is flattened, naked and dark. It has a long and hairy tail with a curled end. They are diurnal animals that live and move in groups of 8 or more individuals.

Su vida trascurre en los altos árboles saltando de rama en rama, aunque bajan con frecuencia al suelo en busca de agua y comida. Pueden consumir todo lo que hay en su habitad hojas, semillas tubérculos, bayas, insectos y pequeños vertebrados entres muchas cosas más. Las hembras paren una sola cría la cual cargan sujeta a su espalda por varios meses enseñandole hábitos de subsistencia
No son mascotas pero lamentablemente hay gran vacío legal y por ende los vemos con mucha frecuencia en los hogares. Lo que representa un peligro para ellos ya que se saca de su habitad natural y muchas veces no se Le da el cuidado necesario y para las personas porque cuando llegan a su madurez sexual se tornan agresivos lo que puede representar un peligro para la familia.

Their life is spent in the tall trees jumping from branch to branch, although they frequently descend to the ground in search of water and food. They can consume everything in their habitat leaves, seeds, tubers, berries, insects and small vertebrates among many other things. Females give birth to a single offspring which they carry on their backs for several months teaching them subsistence habits.
They are not pets but unfortunately there is a legal vacuum and therefore we see them very often in homes. This represents a danger for them since they are taken out of their natural habitat and many times they are not given the necessary care and for people because when they reach their sexual maturity they become aggressive which can represent a danger for the family.

Son animales muy lindos y agradables. En mi localidad es muy común verlos en las adyacencias del río tamanaco ya que este cuenta con agua durante todo el año y un bosque denso a sus alrededores ;se les puede apreciar desde muy cerca son ruidosos la ver a las personas y aveces nos impresionan con sus gestos graciosos. No estoy de acuerdo que los tengan como mascota ni en zoológicos ya que las personas suelen darle chucherías, dulces y otros alimentos no aptos para ellos. Cuidar y preservar nuestra fauna, flora y el medio ambiente en general nos proporcionara un mejor mañana.

They are very nice and pleasant animals. In my town it is very common to see them in the vicinity of the Tamanaco River because it has water throughout the year and a dense forest around it; they can be seen from very close by, they are noisy when they see people and sometimes they impress us with their funny gestures. I do not agree that they should be kept as pets or in zoos because people tend to give them sweets, candies and other foods that are not suitable for them. Taking care and preserving our fauna, flora and environment in general will provide us with a better tomorrow.
