If we will not visit the beautiful places around the world we cannot appreciate how God created the world perfectly and beautifully. Just like the exceptional beauty of Tomalistis Falls of Biliran Province. This was the main reason for our side trip when we were in Leyte, to visit the falls of Biliran Province. Biliran has a lot of falls but because of time, we visited only one. One of these is the famous Tomalistis Falls. Our first plan was to see and have our lunch there. So we didn't bring any bathing attire on our way to the falls. We pushed our plan and continued our travel until we reached Tomalistis Falls. Tomalistis Falls is located in Brgy. Aug , Caibiran Biliran. It is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as one of the sweetest waters in the world.
How To Get There?
Via private car, we traverse the Biliran road going to Tomalistis Falls for almost 40 minutes since it's 25.8 km.from Biliran Bridge to Tomalistis. We arrived at almost 9:00 am and the weather was fine we felt the heat of the sun scorching our skin but when we continued to traverse the bamboo pathways going to the endpoint of the falls, we felt the cold fresh air since there were a lot of trees nearby. It's also near a seashore where the water is so clear and so inviting to take a bath.
We continued our way for the bamboo pathway which was quite long before we could reach the falls and various cottages. Before we continued our way we paid first the rent of a table instead of a cottage and bought some drinks only since we had our food with us. When we reached the top of the falls we were astonished by the water that flowed freely from the mountain and went freely to sea causing the seawater to be not so salty and the rocks on the seashore were all very smooth as if it was rocks found on the river. We wanted to bring a rock or at least 1 piece of it as a souvenir. We took our lunch after we arranged our food. After having our lunch were we tempted to take a bath since the water that fell freely was so inviting. We all laughed at each other because we took our pants off. We enjoyed much with the water that falls on top of our head and back. It was so cool. Then we took a bath in the seawater which was very clear and cool. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. How beautiful is an amazing the natural creation of God?
After having our enjoyment at the falls and bathing at the sea we went home to travel back to Toctoc, Leyte and we didn't want to go home late at night.
That's all for now thank you and see you on my next blog.
