Ancient Kicks Are 2000 Years Old!

These detailed ancient kicks were found down a well at a Roman fort in Saalburg, Germany which was excavated in the 19th century.

They show great artistry which suggests they were worn by a wealthy roman. The romans were the first to design the first shoe that fully encased the foot and was designed for outdoor use. Essentially you could say they were the first sneakers!

They are on display at the Saalburg museum along with other examples.
