Self blame

Self-blame is when we take more than our fair share of responsibility and blame ourselves for every mishap, regardless of whether it is our fault. self blame is a feeling of responsibility for wrongdoing or stress event. self-blame creates a sense of shame and guilt, it is an emotional abuse, which can lead to shame, guilt, anxiety, loneliness and confusion. Self blame is a wrong approach, rather take responsibility. It takes a strong-willed person to admit they made a mistake, and it needs to be done in order to clear your conscious. It is a fact that you cannot take back the hand of time. The past is gone, mistakes have been made, lessons have been learnt. Rather than blames, be motivated, optimistic and determined. Keep striving tomorrow will be better. There are some was to overcome this self blame. Ways like;

  • Taking responsibility: Learn to differentiate between owning responsibility for your actions and blaming yourself for an outcome. instead of blaming yourself, take responsibility of your actions and try to amend your wrong.
  • Self-compassion: Self-compassion can include affirming your feelings, prioritizing self-care, accepting your mistakes, or giving yourself the benefit of the doubt. Learn self kindness, learn to enjoy each time of the day and clear that blame stuck on your head.
  • Open up to people you trust, it ease the burden of blame.
