MISCONCEPTION!...Based On A true Life story!....

Last year someone reached out to me about a business proposal, which i didn't have a second thought about, just oblige, cause this person was very close to me, and has helped me a couple of times during my university days, and is someone i hold at very high esteem, respect, cause of the position and closeness, so i okayed the business idea, since it was something i do personally with ease, so i never thought about anyother stuff around it, just responded with one of those yah, i'll get back to you on this, just give me sometime to draw the maps and do the analysis and we can run from there.

So basically i was to set up and manage the business for few months, then i will train someone to man it, while i leave, that was just the basic simple understanding i had of everything, so few days later the analysis was completed and the overall cost was handed over for review so everything can run from there..... After the review was completed, the overall cost was slashed down barely a quarter half, most of the cost was splashed on set up, equipment, machineries, logistics, but then most of the funds used during this times came from my own pocket, reason being that during talks according to my principal enough funds weren't available at the time, so i opted to help with hopes that the refunds will come later on......

Since these person was someone i so believed in i didn't really have second thoughts about the funds i was sinking in the business, i went all in trying to cover up tracks and fill in Gaps, i did all of these cause of my perception with zero idea that this was a big MISCONCEPTION a big ditch i was getting into, offcourse initially i thought we were actually on same page, but nah we weren't at all, quite the opposite.

Here's where the meaning of the word Came in, the business set up my principal envisioned was that of a local standard were local stuffs are made and sold, while i, based on my experience with standard eateries in other states were I've worked as experience Pastery chef, i had a different perspective to mind when she brought the business proposal, which is why, when i presented the overall cost she slide the whole thing down, since i wasn't familiar with the local methods i had to make do with what i was given while throwing in little boxes (at my own detriment ofcourse) to help fix minor things in place....

After few months into the business, then i realise it was a big mistake i had gotten myself into, by now i have lost huge irrecoverable funds invested into the business of which hopes of recovering them was far from sight, i opted to leave the business on the grounds of our initial terms of bringing someone to man it after i leave, but then the narrative was changed, thats when it dawn on me this whole time, i and my principal had different concept of the type and nature of business she wanted right from the beginning....

Funds were lost, ran into debt, wasted time, resources, energy, stressed the whole time, gained nothing out of the whole thing, i was drained mentally, emotionally, physically and otherwise, however in the End i learned a Big lesson although the hardway, but i have learned and such Bitter experience will never occur again...
