..ANAK OFFENDED SA PARENTS ABOUT COLLEGE TUITION..

————————————————-

..ANAK:
Hello RM, Gamit ko po ang Dummy Account.
I want to vent out something 😞

When I was 10 years old when my mom asked
"What is your dream?"
I answered confidently "To be a Nurse in the future"…

——

2018, on April 7th the day after graduation,
we don't have anything.
I thought we will have a mini-celebration of my graduation, pero wala.
(💙RM: BAKA GIPIT ANG PARENTS MO THAT TIME?)

Luckily one of my Bestfriend Jenny,
invited me to her house to celebrate our graduation.
I was happy that time, but I felt sad inside.
(💙RM: NATURALLY, U ARE TEMPTED TO COMPARE…)

——

Moving forward, I talked to my mom if it's okay
if I will take the entrance exam from FEU.
She gave me the exact amount
and paid for the entrance exam right away with Jenny.

After the business days, the result came in
and we passed.
I was so happy when I opened the email from FEU
that I passed the entrance exam.

——-

But when my mom shared the great news with my dad,
my heart shattered into pieces when
I heard those words from him,
"Do you have enough money to pay for that tuition?"

Why? What? How?

Why did he say those things?
They are my parents.
They aren't proud of what I achieved?
(💙RM: MAYBE THEY ARE PROUD U PASSED THE ENTRANCE EXAMS,
BUT ANG MAIN WORRY NILA IS
THEY DONT HAVE THE MONEY FOR UR TUITION…)

——

I thought I'll be able to pursue my dream
to be Nursing Student, pero hindi pala.

They keep saying that if I want to study,
I NEED TO WORK to achieve my goal.
So what is the use of being a parent?

WE ARE NOT THE INSURANCE
THAT THEY WANT WHEN THEY GET OLDER!

They need to care about their children
from Kinder to Elementary to High School to College.

My parents keep saying—
"If you want to be able to graduate or to buy things
you need to work with yourself"
(💙RM: WE UNDERSTAND UR EXPECTATIONS,
ESPECIALLY UNDER PHILIPPINE CULTURE,
CHILDREN EXPECT PARENTS
TO PROVIDE UNTIL COLLEGE…
YES,
YAN ANG CULTURALLY-ACCEPTED.✅

BUT JUST SO YOU KNOW,
SA IBANG COUNTRIES AT KULTURA LIKE SA U.S.,
CHILDREN TAKE STUDENT LOANS & PART-TIME JOBS TO PAY FOR THEIR COLLEGE TUITION…

AND THEY ARE EXPECTED TO LEAVE THE HOME
AND BE INDEPENDENT AT AN EARLY AGE OF 16.

DO THESE CHILDREN CONDEMN THEIR PARENTS
FOR NOT PAYING FOR THEIR COLLEGE?
PWEDENG I-BLAME ng Pinoy,

BUT ON THE OTHER SIDE,
IT PUSHES THE CHILD TO BE VERY RESPONSIBLE
AND VERY FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT
AT A VERY EARLY AGE….
KAYANG TUMAYO SA SARILING PAA.👍👍👍

TALK TO SOME PINOYS ABROAD
PARA U SEE THE OTHER SIDE OF IT.✅💙)

——-

I don't know if my parents read this
but yes I have all these feelings
that are kept inside for a time.
I don't want this feeling experience with my child AGAIN. PLEASE NO!!!!!

If I have a child,
I want to Support them in what want away their life.
I don't want to be a burden on them.
IT'S MY CHOICE TO HAVE CHILDREN.
CHILDREN DO NOT CHOOSE US.

(💙RM: ON THIS POCKET POINT,
WE AGREE WITH U—-

PARENTS CHOSE TO HAVE KIDS,
SO IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE…
CORRECT✅
UP TO WHERE?🧐

U FIND IT OFFENSIVE NA UR PARENTS ARE SAYING
U PROVIDE FOR URSELF SA COLLEGE,
WHILE THAT IS THE NORM SA U.S.
WHERE MOST KIDS AT 16 LEARN & BECOME
FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT by taking
STUDENT LOANS to pay for college.

——

💙20 YEARS FROM NOW,
THIS NEGATIVE ANGER u feel now
MIGHT TURN INTO DEEP APPRECIATION.
KASE IN PROVIDING FOR URSELF SA COLLEGE
AT SOBRA KA NAHIRAPAN,

U WILL ACTUALLY BECOME VERY VERY STRONG✅)
