A No For A House Husband | Ladies Of Hive Community Contest #75
Hello great ladies, it's another week of the ladies of hive contest and I'll be answering the question;
What are your thoughts of a "house husband?"
Would you be okay with a relationship where roles were reversed?<
Firstly, I would say the husband's are the heads of the family although most feminists fight against this but being brought up in a christian home, I understand this concept and live right by that, therefore I would oppose house husbands.
The basic duty of the husband is to provide for his family whereas his wife supports her husband. Here's the most important words 'provide' 'support' which are gender related. This isn't a general law and order but it's most common.
A man shouldn't be comfortable with his wife paying all the bills while he sits all day at home. Yes, she is graced with skills of being multi-talented but also deserves to be taken care of. Hence, the husband shouldn't be lying around waiting to get cash from his wife or watch his wife running around for upkeep. This is an ego puncture and in most cases can result in disrespect of the man.
A marriage is 2 persons coming as 1, therefore both parties are to join hands together to ensure that every responsibility of the house is co-supported not let alone for one partner. It's ok to assist around the house but not swapping duties.
Rather a work from home husband than house husband.
