Body Hate to Body Love

I used to feel super disconnected from my body. Many parts I hated. Many parts I wanted to change.

I started working out, I ate better...

I went to counselling because it was affecting my relationships in a co-dependent way.

I tried affirmations, journaling...

All of it helped.

None of it made it go away.

I feel like I've had two major breakthroughs on my path.

One,

I started to MOVE MY BODY with love and joy.

I delved into yoga, qigong, and eventually found a movement art called Nia, that I stuck with till today.

The main message of Nia is: Move with Joy.

Pleasure based movement rather than force my body or push myself.

Build powerful muscles out of love, not our of fear of not being liked or loved.

& Two,

Sacred Sexual Healing.

I delved into Tantra and Taoism, and embraced Feminine Practices that not only changed my own relationship to my body, but also my relationship with others.

From these teachings, I've learned to love my private parts (yoni) and I've learn to give my body the loving appreciation through my own touch.
