Hello, I hope you are feeling well. Today I will be participating again in the Ladies of Hive weekly community contest, this time to share with you a day in my life, specifically, this post is my response to contest entry number two, which is as follows:
Take me with you on one day this coming week. You must be in at least 3 pictures! I want to see what you do in a day!
Mi día comienza cuando despierto gracias al sonido de la alarma y mis dos perritos empiezan a llorar y a tocar la puerta de mi habitación para que salga a saludarlos 🙈 Que me esperen y se emocionen de verme es una de mis partes favoritas del día, así que de inmediato salgo a darles los buenos días, servirles la comida y los preparo para llevarlos de paseo, mi esposo pasea a Blacky y yo a Bruno.
My day starts when I wake up thanks to the sound of the alarm and my two little dogs start crying and knocking on my bedroom door for me to come out and greet them 🙈 Having them waiting for me and excited to see me is one of my favorite parts of the day, so I immediately go out to say good morning to them, serve them food and get them ready to take them for a walk, my husband walks Blacky and I walk Bruno.
Hoy es día feriado, pues el día de ayer fueron las elecciones presidenciales en Colombia, así que el paseo con Bruno será corto pues las calles están solas. De todos modos, le doy su tiempo para olisquear y que también sea un momento de disfrute para él :)
Today is a holiday, because yesterday was the presidential elections in Colombia, so the walk with Bruno will be short because the streets are lonely. Anyway, I give him his time to sniff and it will also be a moment of enjoyment for him :)
Al llegar a casa, me dispongo a realizar el desayuno. Como les he compartido varias veces en la comunidad de Foodies, suelo hacer desayunos salados de vegetales y proteína, además, agrego algo de fruta pues de lo contrario se me olvida comerla en el resto del día.
Arriving home, I get ready to make breakfast. As I have shared with you several times in the Foodies community, I usually make savory breakfasts of vegetables and protein, plus, I add some fruit otherwise I forget to eat it for the rest of the day.
En la mañana salí con mis padres a caminar por el parque. Sabía que por ser hoy un día feriado no habían muchos planes para hacer más que estar en casa, así que lo mejor sería moverme desde temprano en la mañana. Estoy intentando retomar nuevamente hábitos saludables, así que al regresar a casa realicé algo de ejercicio de fuerza y cardiovascular saltando la cuerda. Este es un momento relajante del día pues escucho música a todo volumen y eso me pone de buen humor :)
In the morning I went out with my parents for a walk in the park. I knew that since today was a holiday there were not many plans to do other than stay at home, so the best thing to do would be to get moving early in the morning. I am trying to get back into healthy habits, so when I got home I did some strength and cardiovascular exercise by jumping rope. This is a relaxing time of the day as I listen to music at full volume and that puts me in a good mood :)
Todos los días intento leer o estudiar algo para aprovechar el tiempo libre. El día de hoy estuve practicando mi inglés a través de un curso virtual en la academia Platzi.
Every day I try to read or study something to make the most of my free time. Today I was improving my English through a virtual course at the Platzi academy.
Llegó la hora del almuerzo y me provocó una ensalada, así que empecé a picar y limpiar los vegetales. No les mostraré fotos por acá del resultado, pero sí del proceso, porque pronto compartiré esta receta de ensalada de pollo en otra comunidad :). Mis padres vinieron a comer en casa y todos quedaron muy a gusto con el almuerzo, súper saludable y nutritivo.
Lunch time came and I was hungry for a salad, so I started chopping and cleaning the vegetables. I won't show you pictures here of the result, but I will show you the process, because soon I will share this chicken salad recipe in another community :). My parents came to eat at home and everyone was very happy with the lunch, super healthy and nutritious.
Por ser este un día feriado, estuve viendo gran parte de la tarde videos y podcast de comedia. Tenía tiempo sin pasar horas viendo youtube, pero fue muy divertido y necesario para despejar la mente. Al rato vino Brunito a hacerme compañía y a darme calor... con su compañía estoy escribiendo esta publicación para dar por terminado mi día! Seguramente en un rato me prepare un té, me ducho y leo algo antes de dormir :)
Since this was a holiday, I spent most of the afternoon watching comedy videos and podcasts. It had been a while since I had spent hours watching youtube, but it was a lot of fun and necessary to clear my mind. After a while Brunito came to keep me company and warm me up... with his company I'm writing this post to end my day! In a while I'll probably make some tea, take a shower and read something before going to sleep :)
