Okay, so this week prompt got me thinking. If I could pause everything I'm doing here in Porthercourt and go live somewhere else for a year , well I'd pick Spain. Not Madrid or Barcelona, as someone that likes quietness I'd choose somewhere smaller. Maybe Granada or one of those quiet places near the coast.

I keep imagining what my host family would be like. Probably loud in a good way, the ones that would sit around the table after eating, telling different stories and having a fun chat. Maybe an older couple whose kids are grown and only comes visiting during the weekends. Their house having a little court yard with beautiful flowers everywhere and a beautiful little cat as a pet.

For the year, I'd like to keep teaching somehow, maybe English to the kids there part-time since that's what I already know how to do best. But honestly I'd also like them to teach me Spanish too. Not the text book kind, but how people interact with each other, the slangs and jokes and all that.

I'd spend my free time wandering around their markets, trying to learn how to make proper paella( mine would probably be terrible at first 馃槅) but I will make sure I become perfect. I'd always be blogging about everything because that's just what I do.

I imagine the days being slower there. Siestas, evening walk around the environment when it cools down, sun- bleached buildings, the narrow streets, orange trees everywhere, mountain on one side and maybe the sea somewhere close too.

Honestly a year like that? I think I'd come back different . In A Good Way!

Thanks irenenavarroart@irenenavarroart for this prompt, it has given the opportunity to openly express my love for Spain and I believe one day I will be there.
