LOH#169:Beyond Money: The Many Forms of Charitable Giving

Good afternoon ladies. Its a new week. How's your new week going. Hope y'all are doing well??. I'm good as well. Im excited about this week's prompts.

Thanks to @Ladiesofhive and this weeks judge @kerrislravenhill for this week's prompts.

We've been asked to talk about our favorite charity. There are plenty and wonderful charity and sorry but I have two favourite. Before we talk about them lets talk about charity first.

In its simplest sense, charity can be seen as the act of giving or helping others without expecting anything in return. Charity can take many forms, such as donating money, time, or resources. It can also be a form of volunteerism, that is volunteering to provide support or care to those in need.

Essentially, charity is all about selflessness and compassion, and also about trying to make the world a better place for others. Some people believe that charity is an obligation, while others see it as a way to make a positive difference in the world. To me charity can never be an obligation, to me it is a call to make the world a better place.

There are so many wonderful charities out there, and it's hard to choose just one. However, if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be Doctors Without Borders. I so much admire the commitment to providing medical care to those who need it most, regardless of race, religion, their beliefs and interest.

They also work in some of the most challenging environments, often putting themselves at great risk in order to help others. They sacrifice a lot. That kind of selflessness and courage is truly inspiring. That's why its special to me.

As I said I have two favorite forms of Charity, the one done by people and that done by me. My favorite eill be my time, yes I donate money to charity but I really value spending time with the people in need.

Sometimes gifts can be donated, money and all of that but sometimes they need someone to talk to, someone that can talk to them. They need a listening ear. Someone that can spend time with them and give them time to express themselves. So my favorite will be my time because it has more impact on the lives of these people than gifts and the rest.
