Therefore, we are committed to promoting menstrual hygiene practices and addressing the challenges faced by adolescent girls in basic schools through the following;
Creating awarenessFirst, through awareness and education, we emphasize the importance of creating awareness and providing comprehensive education about menstrual health and hygiene. We will integrate age-appropriate menstrual health education into the school curriculum, ensuring that it is inclusive and destigmatizes menstruation.
We recognize that access to Menstrual Products is key to adolescent girls stay in school. We work for adolescent girls to have accessible to affordable menstrual products. We strive to ensure that basic schools have adequate facilities and resources, such as clean and private toilets, proper disposal systems, and the availability of sanitary pads or other menstrual products.
Also, we advocate for hygiene Infrastructure that supports adolescent girls to have safe periods. We commit to improving the hygiene infrastructure in basic schools to support menstrual hygiene management. This includes providing clean water and sanitation facilities, ensuring regular maintenance of toilets, and establishing proper waste management systems.
Moreover, we work to create supportive environment for safe periods. We aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment in basic schools, where girls feel comfortable discussing menstrual health and seeking assistance. We will foster a culture of empathy, respect, and understanding among students, teachers, and staff to eliminate any stigma or discrimination associated with menstruation.
It's our believe that engaging parents and guardians on effects of menstruation goes a long way to address some of the challenges. We recognize the crucial role of parents and guardians in supporting adolescent girls' menstrual hygiene. We will actively involve parents and guardians through workshops and awareness programs, providing them with information and resources to support their daughters.
Furthermore, we promote partnership and collaboration to address the issues of menstruation better. We understand that addressing menstrual hygiene requires collaborative efforts. We will engage with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, healthcare providers, and local communities, to develop sustainable and holistic strategies for promoting menstrual hygiene in basic schools.
Last but not least, we encourage monitoring and evaluation of our projects that determines areas of improvements. We are committed to monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of menstrual hygiene initiatives in basic schools.
Regular assessments will be conducted to identify areas of improvement, measure the impact of interventions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the sustained well-being of adolescent girls.
