I really enjoy visiting mountains, rock and ocean side. This makes me to feel refreshed and appreciate nature itself. Even at the mountain top you will be able to oversee all the landscape. Even the sounds of the air and birds shrimping makes me appreciate nature.
Although in the part of the world where i reside, we do not have much mountain but we have rock which has cultural value and histories.
I will love to shere my experience when i visited Olumo rock which is located at Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria.
Olumo Rock is a mountain in south-western Nigeria. It is located in the city of Abeokuta, Ogun State, and was normally used as a natural fortress during inter-tribal warfare in the 19th century. Its patron spirit is venerated in the Yoruba religion as an orisha. The name olumo is the combination of two words: "olu" which means god/deity, and "mo" which means moulded. This has been a tourist attractions to people with in and outside the country.
Also to get to the rock, you have to use stairs because the rock is a bit high.
There is an iroko tree on the rock, it has been there for over 200years. Looking from another side, you will see the Ogun river, that is where the state, Ogun state derived its name from.
Also i will like to talk about my adventure at the bar beach. Bar Beach is a beach on the Atlantic Ocean along the shoreline of Lagos, situated on Victoria Island. For a time, it was the most popular beach in Nigeria especially when Lagos was the capital of the country.
There are numerous things to enjoy when you visit there. You have opurtunity of horse riding. Camping and numerous activities.
I love to visit bar beach because i love the ocean currents and waves even the resounding sounds coming from the sea.
