La espiritualidad, considero es un concepto profundo que puede alcanzar ámbitos más allá de lo filosófico, psicológico y religioso y que nos puede ayudar a comprender la condición humana y en muchos casos el significado de la vida misma.

Sin duda todos los seres humanos debemos tener espiritualidad al nacer, que es lo que nos diferencia de los otros seres vivos, porque precisamente esa espiritualidad es lo que nos ayuda a la aceptación de la naturaleza inmaterial de uno mismo.

Como todo aspecto de la personalidad debe existir en el individuo algún elemento que le asome esa espiritualidad o el rechazo a la misma. Así mismo, considero que ese grado de espiritualidad que poseemos es una manera de como contextualizamos nuestro comportamiento en la vida.

Por eso cuando miramos a nuestro alrededor de una manera desinteresada y solamente actuando de acuerdo a nuestros valores, ayudándonos a comprender el mundo en la esencia misma de las cosas; sin asomarnos la posibilidad de algún beneficio o prebenda de las cosas materiales o inmateriales que podamos contemplar en el mudo. En ese sentido, por ello que a algunas personas las llaman soñadores o románticos por esa espiritualidad que manifiestan ante situaciones de la vida.

Pero es que acaso contemplar un lago de un color azul celeste y además las aguas cristalinas, observar unas montañas con picos de nieves permanentes, también todo un bosque a arrayanes con unos árboles inmensos que nos hacen recordar la canela, por su color semejante, y además un bosque inmenso de pinos con unos árboles magnánimos que tienen unos tallos colosales, uno tiene que ser soñador, espiritual, bohemio y soñador. Ante toda esa belleza que tiene la naturaleza, las cosas creadas por Dios; quién no se rinde y saca aflorar toda esa espiritualidad que nos hace apreciar la naturaleza tal como se nos presenta.

Esta iniciativa me hizo recordar que cuando mi hijo se iba a preparar en el colegio para tomar la primera comunión, se nos solicitó a los representantes que pudiéramos colaborar en preparar a los niños; pues la verdad no lo pensé ya que como madre siempre quería estar involucrada en la formación de mis hijos en cualquier aspecto que los ayudara a crecer como personas, pues estaba presta para ello.

A sabiendas que los niños que ingresaban a esa institución, sus padres tenían la inclinación religiosa católica, por las mismas características del colegio. Un colegio en ese momento que para los estudios de primaria solo tenían niños. Pues fue así, como me convertí en una formadora en el ámbito religioso, catequista; sin llegar por supuesto a considerarme una “Maestra o Gurú” de la religión católica, sino más bien como una persona que quería profundizar sobre esos conocimientos.

Fue una experiencia muy bonita, cada semana compartir y tratar de formar a esos niños que iban a recibir la comunión por primera vez, sobre todo en las cuestiones muy básicas que tenían que conocer llegado el momento.

Puedo decir que fue algo que me gustó mucho, de tal forma que después que mi hijo tomo la primera comunión en el colegio, yo continúe con esa labor en el colegio por 3 años más, fue muy bonito tener esas experiencias, en primer lugar, cuando esta un hijo involucrado en esa formación. Pero después que mi hijo realizo su primera comunión, la dedicación fue igualmente con el mismo entusiasmo y compromiso.

Puedo agradecer a la vida y a Dios que me dio esa oportunidad de ser formadora en los niños que iban a realizar su primera comunión, porque eso me incentivo a formarme un poco más sobre los conocimientos religiosos que tenía para ese momento.

Como dije en párrafo anterior, que, sin considerarme una experta en la formación religiosa, considero que realice un aporte en la formación religiosa inicial de los niños del colegio donde se formaba mi hijo, ese pequeño aporte pudo representar una primera guía para esa espiritualidad, la cual considero tan necesaria en la formación de los niños; porque existe un viejo adagio que indica que lo aprendido en la niñez difícilmente lo olvidamos.

Pero realmente necesitamos una persona que nos guie a formarnos en la espiritualidad, sí y no. Como pregunta un poco difícil de responder, ya que, si nos ubicamos en la niñez, los niños van a tener, posiblemente, la inclinación a la espiritualidad que copien de sus padres. En estos casos la mayoría de niños bajo una formación de espiritualidad no necesitarían de un mentor que los guie en ese sendero.

Cuando los niños se forman en un que hogar que discrepa de la espiritualidad, esos van a ser sus modos de presentarse en la vida y a comprender el mundo que les rodea de otra forma, quizás más materialista y sin la sensibilidad a las cuestiones hermosas de la naturaleza. Entonces podríamos decir que se necesitan guías espirituales, bien sean directos o indirectos para tener esa formación. Y, dependiendo del carácter de la persona o su inclinación hacia la espiritualidad, se puede tener un crecimiento espiritual mediante iniciativas de cada individuo.

Definitivamente, la espiritualidad nos ayuda a contemplar mejor la naturaleza, es decir todas las cosas creadas por Dios, y también la grandeza de muchos elementos que en ocasiones no le encontramos una explicación lógica.

¡Que viva la espiritualidad en el hombre como ser pensante!

Before all that beauty that nature has, the things created by God; who does not surrender and bring out all that spirituality that makes us appreciate nature as it is presented to us.

This initiative made me remember that when my son was going to prepare for his first communion at school, we representatives were asked if we could collaborate in preparing the children; I did not really think about it because as a mother I always wanted to be involved in the formation of my children in any aspect that would help them grow as people, since I was ready for it.

Knowing that the children who entered that institution, their parents had the Catholic religious inclination, due to the same characteristics of the school. At that time, it was a school that only had boys for elementary school. That was how I became a teacher in the religious field, a catechist; without considering myself as a "Teacher or Guru" of the Catholic religion, but rather as a person who wanted to deepen my knowledge.

It was a very nice experience, every week sharing and trying to form those children who were going to receive communion for the first time, especially in the very basic questions that they had to know when the time came.

I can say that it was something that I liked very much, so much so that after my son took his first communion at school, I continued with this work at the school for 3 more years, it was very nice to have these experiences, first of all, when a child is involved in this formation. But after my son made his first communion, the dedication was equally with the same enthusiasm and commitment.

I can thank life and God for giving me the opportunity to be a formator for the children who were going to make their first communion, because that encouraged me to form myself a little more about the religious knowledge I had at that time.

As I said in the previous paragraph, that, without considering myself an expert in religious formation, I consider that I made a contribution in the initial religious formation of the children of the school where my son was being formed, that small contribution could represent a first guide for that spirituality, which I consider so necessary in the formation of the children; because there is an old adage that indicates that what we learn in childhood we hardly forget.

But we really need a person to guide us to form us in spirituality, yes and no. As a question a little difficult to answer, since, if we place ourselves in childhood, children will have, possibly, the inclination to spirituality that they copy from their parents. In these cases the majority of children under a formation of spirituality would not need a mentor to guide them on that path.

When children are formed in a home that disagrees with spirituality, those are going to be their ways of presenting themselves in life and understanding the world around them in another way, perhaps more materialistic and without the sensitivity to the beautiful matters of nature. So we could say that spiritual guides, either direct or indirect, are needed to have that formation. And, depending on the character of the person or their inclination towards spirituality, one can have a spiritual growth through initiatives of each individual.

Spirituality definitely helps us to better contemplate nature, that is, all things created by God, and also the greatness of many elements that sometimes we do not find a logical explanation.
