A Great Teaching in Life - Perseverance I by @abby0207

A hopeful and beautiful day ahead of us steemian friends!

Perseverance is a strong word with a great impact to people's lives. It is a state of doing something to achieve what we desire and dream for our lives. I strongly believe that without it, we won't reach where we are right now the best place we always long for ourselves.

Not just us Filipinos strive to work hard or have shown perseverance in our everyday lives, most people probably. Amidst this time of pandemic, we never lose hope in persevering for ourselves and our family.
Even when I was young up to now, I live and grow with perseverance, I am now what I am now without that great virtue.

I would like to specify the lessons in my life that I always applied perseverance is this times of health crisis. Even at the gestures of the parents who persistently come to our school for the continuous education of their children, I can clearly see that they persevere that behind their work and other commitments they still find time to diligently come to our school.

For my part in this new normal times, I still continue the hard work of doing my school related task and other extra curricular activities for me to get the reward that I long for which is my promotion, not just the rank but of course that includes a higher salary, but sad to say although it's almost 1 year already and even though I passed on the promotional ranking, I am still waiting for its final approval. Yet, I continued and diligently do my task even beyond my function and salary in school.

Another lesson I gained through perseverance is being a mother in this new normal education. When the Covid 19 hit us, students have to stay at home at it has been two years already that students are studying at home. My younger son supposedly would start his first year of elementary grade but was not due to our situation. I became his first teacher that he even learned his first writing and reading lessons with me. We practiced one hour everyday so could easily catch up the lessons. I also believe that he at his young age also persevere that he learned as well.

I am so thankful to the contest organizer for this idea of a contest that at this sad times we can read hopeful stories.

Truly,
