Are you a delusional STATIST and just don't know it?....This might help ... but I doubt it...

I use the term 'mentally ill' quite a lot.

It is not a disparaging term, it's a logical conclusion based on evidence as I see it ('delusion' being the main context, with reference to my own use of the word 'mentally ill').
The definition of 'delusion' is the benchmark with which I draw my conclusions from.

The delusion of an idea...

In context to my own work and observations - think 'political ideologies'.

Those suffering from this delusion (false reality) is in love with the ideology.
It is an emotional attachment , not a logical process. This is the reason why you cannot show (the person suffering from the delusion), the truth.
Logic and reason plays no part to those 'in love'.

It's not very different from the stalker who're 'in love' with a celebrity.
This type of delusion is an 'idealized romanticism' - even in the political realm.

The socialists/communists idealized vision of utopia, for example.... Any atrocities can be rationalized away on the road to seeking this utopia.
Any crazy actions by the besotted and those 'in love' can also be rationalized away...
(I traveled 7000 miles and drove for 48 hours, non stop, when I was suffering from this particular delusion. It wasn't remotely delusional to me at the time - it seemed like a rational action, a romantic endeavor).

In the mind of the delusional - any idiocy becomes logical.

It's been posited (by me) that the statist/authoritarian/ socialist, mindsets - The one of 'the greater good', the collectivist delusion - is actually religious in it's nature. (thus defying any logical attempt to be able identify the delusion to the sufferer of it) .

I would also go as far as to posit that it may be the atheists attempt to fill a spiritual vacuum. (religiosity but without a church).
While the atheist may be critical of the possibility of a 'higher being', there is some kind of 'spiritual drive' (for want of a better term) that is part of 0- endemic in - the human psyche.
Spirituality - as a human condition - came way before any formal religion - (that was simply 'the harnessed version' of it).

Ergo....The authoritarian lover - A lover of a 'higher being' is a person who see's governments and institutions, as 'benevolent an omniscient'.

ALL the evidence presented against this false reality (and there is mountains of it , of empirical evidence - from wars , to social engineering , to imprisonment and torture) the statist will STILL CONTINUE TO HAVE FAITH - in their master - And just like any other religious zealot who'll also happily disregard any logical evidence that questions their said faith.

THE MODERN DAY STATIST IS A RELIGIOUS FANATIC - WITH A GOD SCULPTED FROM FLAWED INTELLECTUAL CONCEPTS, WHICH ARE THEN PROJECTED AS A TEMPLATE TO ANSWER THEIR OWN SPIRITUAL VACUUM.

(a spiritual vacuum that they're not aware of)
...FALLIBLE AND FLAWED - HUMAN BEINGS ARE THEN GIVEN THE TASK OF - AND WITH THE IMPLICIT EXPECTATION OF - FINDING THEIR NIRVANA THROUGH AUTHORITARIAN CONTROL AND VIOLENT OPPRESSION OF THOSE WHO DO NOT SHARE THEIR DELUSIONS.

People who suffering from this type of statist delusion
seem to have a specific characteristic....
They hold authority in high esteem.
it ca be seen in the incessant appeals to authority in discussions with the statist (as a prime example).
An exterior reference point is required to validate their own position and belief. (instead of thumping on the bible, they thump on 'The communist manifesto', instead).
Same dynamic, just different literature.

The delusional statist will try to rationalize any imposition put upon them by their authority.
They will attempt to argue (for example) that taxation isn't theft.
This runs counter to - or against - any critical thought process, intellectual honesty, or philosophical truth.
And yet ....they will try to argue the point.
*** this is a very good indicator that you're are dealing with someone suffering from this type of mental illness.

This is not an argument for - or against- taxation.

This is a discussion to establish intellectual honesty, critical thinking, logic, and and philosophical truths over fantasy.
Understanding the difference is vital if you're ever going to break your own delusion.

Breaking the spell... (the mind prison of your own making)

Think back to early years - when you thought 'this babe' was 'the love of your life'.
When you found out that she wasn't, in fact ,the goddess you thought of , your soulmate, but actually more of a narcissistic manipulative piece of shite, that used you for their own purposes, and then disregarded you when you were of no further use.**

A lot like socialist and communist political movements, if you think about it!

** (Not my experience with my ex, btw if you're trying to analyse my post from some Freudian angle).

'Mental illness' has an implied negativity attached to it.
An very undeserved one, in most cases.
Think about it..
Do you see people who have with measles, i.e who are physically ill - as a reason to see some kind of negativity towards them? Because they're suffering from measles?
(I sincerely hope that you don't!)
What about different types of illness?
What about diabetes, or high blood pressure?
Are they somehow less than human because of their illness?
Of course not - it's ludicrous.

The negative attachment to using the term 'mental illness' seems to be a sensitive issue - but maybe only coming from those potentially suffering from some mental illness?
Victim mentality is closely associated with delusional mental illnesses.

What I find funny, is that my motivations to help - is just that.
I like to help people - for it's own sake. (no virtue signalling here, or altruism - it's a selfish act because it makes me feel great to do it).
...by pointing out this affliction to those suffering from delusions then makes them rage at me, threaten me with actual violence, and attack me in different ways..

That tells you everything really, doesn't it?

One perspective offers , and wants to help - and one perspective plays victim, and wants to harm you for speaking truths.....
Mmmmmmm.....

A delusion with reality doesn't make a person a bad person, or an evil person.
It makes them delusional - with certain aspect to their lives.
....Someone suffering from delusions in one area of their lives, may be perfectly healthy in others, live a healthy lifestyle, be caring for others, enjoy family relationships, etc.
Having measles doesn't make you bad person.

Not treating the 'infection of delusion' WILL - just like rabies - alter your brain function and, over time - drive you insane.

Clean your heads, people!
