Here's an entry for the popular #colorchallenge photo contest, originally started by @kalemandra, and which has now become reborn here on Hive.

Today's theme is "Saturday Indigo;" which is also the color corresponding to the Third Eye Chakra.
We have a blue shrub/bush at the end of the driveway, which is now in full bloom.
Although it is informally called a "California Lilac," it's not related to conventional lilacs. The scientific name is Ceanothus Concha.
Below the blue fluffy cloud of blooms, it's actually quite spiky and unpleasant to handle, but we like that as it is also quite deer resistant.
The tiny individual flowers are also very fragrant, and attract lots of bees and other insects, as well as the occasional hummingbird.
Have a beautiful day!
