Movie review: Death Train

When I first read the title of the movie and saw the opening scene of a train moving on a track, I thought it would be a Western with bandits robbing a train.

Although it is not a Western movie, a train robbery actually takes place, and diamonds are in the middle.

Bryan Genesse playing a die-hard character

A thing that I especially liked about this guy was how his hair is left intact, even after he gets injured and the train is derailed! LOL!

Other than that, the movie has violent scenes that might cause butterflies in your stomach, with straight gun fighting and killing, and fighting with bare hands.

While watching the film, I tried to recall where I had seen this actor before.

He has played in the “The Bold and the Beautiful” soap opera.

He even seems to wear the same old black leather jacket!

The plot

In terms of the plot, prisoners are transported by train, with ordinary people watching and guns carried openly.

These are hardened criminals who would do anything to get their hands on those diamonds.

Although it’s been long since I last watched an action crime movie, because my movie tastes have changed with time, I think that using a helicopter as a means of escape from a train is a good idea to include in a script, since it can make an action movie more interesting to watch.

I’ve got the impression that the crooks kill some people on the train that they don’t like, but don’t even touch others whom they “like”, for example, the barmaid.

One of them seems to be more educated than the others, and in one scene, he uses the following words: “Asthma is a debilitating affliction”, which is an expression that you don’t hear everyday.

In spite of the fact that the hero of the movie makes the right decision to get the hostages off the train to save their life, some of them do not leave the train, which is something that makes the movie more dramatic.

At some point, our hero almost misses the train and the opportunity to save more lives, but he catches it just in time.

Good scenes showing the suspense and beauty of traveling by train, although this is definitely not your normal journey of commuters going to and coming back from work.

Old mobile phones have a prominent place in this movie, bringing nostalgia to viewers who have used them in the past.

At some point, personal feelings get in the way.

The only person who stays calm throughout the movie is the barmaid.

Regarding the leading crook, he is a derailed character, like the train he has seized; a crazy man that viewers must have hated.

He keeps kissing his girlfriend amid killings to get some courage. Just unbelievable!
