This week we have a contest about the best party movie. So 'The Party' is the best party movie. LOL.

Jokes aside, i think 'The Party' is one of the best comedies ever. The whole movie is one big party happening in a huge mansion. Literally.

Hrundi V. Bakshi who is an aspiring actor by pure luck is invited to Fred Clutterbuck's big party. Before that, Hrundi V. Bakshi who is quite clumsy, destroyed the set of Fred Clutterbuck's latest feature film. The whole movie is about Hrundi V. Bakshi mingling with the guests at the party. Did i mention that he is a clumsy guy? Of course i did. That is what makes the movie so good.

What is more Hrundi V. Bakshi is from a part of India where alcohol is prohibited. Accidentally he has his first-ever sip of alcohol. Then the party starts.

I do not know if the movie would be any good if it wasn't for Peter Sellers playing Hrundi V. Bakshi. When i first saw the movie at a younger age i thought that the actor was from India. Only Peter Sellers could play that role. The movie is so simple but also so confusing. You can also see the elephant in the room.(it is a scene in the movie)

Check this: 'Birdie Num Num'

Even now, more than 50 years later you can watch the movie and have fun.
