Blade the Vampire Hunter

Recently I watched the trailer of the new blade movie and I decided to rewatch the whole franchise again because I really like blade movies ( maybe the third not so much )

Blade (1998)

It is a 1998 action-horror film directed by Stephen Norrington and starring Wesley Snipes as the title character, a half-human, half-vampire hybrid who hunts and kills vampires.

Overall, I'd say it's an enjoyable film worth watching, especially if you're a fan of the action and horror genres. The film features many intense and well-choreographed fight scenes, as well as some impressive visual effects that are still considered quite good to this day.

One of the strong points of the film in my opinion is Snipes' performance as Blade, which is stoic and charismatic. The supporting cast is also excellent, with Kris Kristofferson giving a memorable performance as Blade's mentor, and Stephen Dorff playing a convincingly sinister vampire-villain.

That said, "Blade" certainly has its flaws. On the one hand the plot is quite simple and predictable, and the dialogue can be clunky at times and on the other hand the pacing of the film can be uneven, with some scenes feeling rushed while others seem to last for ages.

I would recommend "Blade" to fans of action and horror movies, as well as fans of Wesley Snipes. While it may not be a masterpiece, it's a fun and memorable film that still holds up pretty well in 2023.

I've personally seen all three, the first Blade (the one I'm reviewing here) is my favorite.

I really hope the new movies to be great. I really like the lead actor and it seems to glue well as blade.
