I think the big studio variant, with big budgets, is independent or auteur cinema whose subject matter is generally not contemporary or blockbusters, although there are some platform-assisted films that revive or depict such films to allow us to understand what the world has gone through historically.

Populations or peoples suffer as a result of war, extreme weather conditions, exploitation, rape or slavery.

What they endured over the centuries, we don't know, or know very little, to what extent they had to endure in order to survive.

This is one of those films that makes you realise that what is happening to us today is nothing like what happened in the past.

In spite of adversity, the human being always looks for a way out and finds the strength to go on...

Set in the Siberian cold of Stalinist Russia, the film depicts the persecution experienced by the communist forces in the Balkans against those who disagreed with the regime? Resulting in persecution, suffering and extermination of the whole family...
