In the year 1962, a series was premiered showing a space age where human needs were totally automated. In this future era, (year 2062), very funny family situations were shown. The protagonist cooked dinner for 4 people at the push of a button, and they also owned a splendid robot-domestic.
Humans live in intelligent houses suspended in the air by means of large supports, travel in flying vehicles and go from one point to another by means of conveyor belts.

Since the audience did not turn out as expected by ABC, the network decided to rerun the first 24 episodes on Saturday mornings, so the series was a great success among children and teenagers.

In the series its protagonists lived in a high-tech house, today there are devices like Google Nest that can identify friends or strangers at the door, Philips Hue lights can be programmed to change color based on our heart rate. There are refrigerators that photograph what's left in the fridge and make suggestions based on our diets.
Amazon's Alexa alerts us of unusual sounds in our homes, if our domestic devices are smart we can program them to work at the time that suits us best.

If you look at the series carefully there are flat screen televisions everywhere, these televisions have a more attractive design and manage to immerse us in the program we are watching.

This technological gadget, apart from telling the time, allows us to send messages, play music, manage our social networks and help answer calls on our cell phones from the wrist of our arm.

The Internet facilitates access to information, entertainment, communication and work, being this service available on computers, tablets, cell phones and even smart watches.
As a little boy I started watching this series and I even liked it more than The Flinstones, I was always attracted by those objects and devices that I had never seen before, there I saw for the first time a flying vehicle, a dog that almost spoke, a robot maid, a genius child, an inventor father and a housewife accustomed to high technology.
The creators and producers of the series were William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, who along with musician Hoyt Curtin wrote the theme song for the series. The voices of these futuristic characters belong to: George O'Hanlon (George Jetson), Penny Singleton (Jane Jetson), Janet Waldo (Judy Jetson), Jean Vander Pyl (Rosie), and Daws Butler (Elroy Jetson).
The series consisted of three seasons, between 1962 and 1963 24 episodes were aired. The second season consisted of 41 episodes and was broadcasted in 1985, and the third and last season consisted of 10 episodes and was broadcasted in 1987. Precisely in this year The Jetsons meet The Flintstones:
In 1988 a film called Rockin' with Judy Jetson is produced:
In a way the series gave a positive glimpse into the future and well if we notice most of the things we are shown have come true.
