Wild Wild West is one movie portarying the west than captures mu heart. This movie is so intresting in the sense that it showcases some degree of cowboys badass and comic scence that will get the viewer both in a state of suspense also catch the viewer lauging his/her heart out. The movie which was acted to reflect the early days of the end of the American civil war was a kind of settling of scores between the silenced rebels and the victorious federal side.
The movie starred Will Smith as the notorious and cowboy "Captain West" who was after the General McGrath an ex-confederate general involved in a massacre that saw the killing of Captain West's parent. U.S Marshall Gordon was also after this said ex-general but both West and Gordon were a kind of differently wired and both have different principles and rules of engagement.
After being saddled with the responsibility of finding the U.S scientist kidnapped by McGrath and the later also plotting something treacherous against the state, both set out to executed the mission. While on the train, the two had a rough getting-to-know each other's capabilities that it was both dangerously risky and funny at the same time.
After gate crashing a party in Loveless' farm or rather infiltrating his farm, they incidentally rescued a lady which they later discovered to be the daughter of one of the scientists kidnapped, Guilermo Escobar. While at the farm, Loveless who was a crafty and willy architect was seen to test his new weapon on the disgruntled men of General McGrath before shooting the Ex-general too. Before breathing his last, the Ex- general was able to tell Captain West and Marshall Gordon the real person behind the massacre and it was Loveless.
When the duo now trio; West, Gordon and Rita, the freed daughter of the scientist caught up with Loveless on the train, christained the the 'Wanderer', Rita accidentally triggered a sleeping gas that knocked them out. When they later came to, they saw Loveless leaving aboard the wanderer and taking Rita along. He told them of his plan to capture the president and he left them, fixing them in between a trap.
One of the comic scenes of this movie happened here. The trap was a round high-powered magnetic metal fixed round their neck with circuler slit in the middle just round the middle of the neck and with their hands tied behind them. Once triggered, the metal will attract a circular, razor-sharp blade that can severe the victims head in one clean swipe. Both West and Gordon triggered theirs and a pell mell running for dear life commenced through corn fields until they finally made both circular blades collide and exploded. But the both found themselves in a pond.
After freeing themselves, the tracked Loveless' rail tracks and followed him down to a canyon where is was building one of his greatest weapon yet. A huge mechanical spider armed with cannons and while trying to scale it, West got shot and he fell with Loveless thinking him dead. But he survived having put on a coat of chain mail or rather metal rings closely knitted by Gordon to serve as a mail. The mail stopped the bullet.
Captain West disguised himself as a dancer and infiltrated the spider just as Loveless ordered Gordon to be executed. He distracted the process while Gordon released other prisoners but Loveless happened to escape with the president on board.
Using a flying apparatus invented by Gordon, West and Gordon caught up with Loveless but just after he had succeeded in devastating a small town with his new weapon. Loveless was a half man i.e he had lost from his waist downward and rellied on a metal mechanical legs for motion. Gordon uses a miniature bullet to shoot the pipes conducting oil to the legs crippling all four legs and it aided West in having the upper hand over Loveless.
Loveless tried shooting at West both the bullet missed and hit a vital part of the gigantic metal spider, bringing it to an immediate halt just before it will topple over a canyon.
Loveless fell to his death but West happened to hold on to a body, dangling on a chain that saved his life.
The movie was a mixture of cowboy qualities and scientific inventions with helped to make it an interesting movie.
West and Gordon later found out Guillermo Escorba was not Rita's father as she claimed but instead, her husband. It was funny because both of them had wanted to win her heart.
