Well, getting right into, Marvel never ceases to amaze, even to those of us who are not big fans of the franchise, there are always a couple of superheroes that you identify with, in my case they are Deadpool and the always self-sufficient, Dr. Strange.

Bueno, entrando de lleno en materia Marvel no deja de sorprendernos, incluso a los que no somos grandes fans de la franquicia, siempre hay un par de superhéroes con los que te identificas, en mi caso son Deadpool y el siempre autosuficiente, Dr. Strange.

But this movie has given me the opportunity to identify and, to some extent, see myself identifying with another character, this time her antagonist, Scarlet Witch, or this time simply Wanda.
The first thing I can say with propriety, is that this movie can be seen in two ways, or rather, it is aimed at two different audiences, those who are always attentive to the fights and the excellent special effects to which Marvel has accustomed us, and those who seek to see in depth the story that is being told and all the incredible details that are in the plot.
Since I identify with the second target audience, I'll talk a little about it without revealing too many spoilers.
Pero esta película me ha dado la oportunidad para identificarme y, hasta cierto punto, verme identificada con otro personaje, esta vez su antagonista, La bruja escarlata, o esta vez simplemente Wanda.
Lo primero que puedo decir con propiedad, es que esta película puedes verla de dos maneras, o más bien, está dirigida a dos públicos distintos, los que siempre están atentos a las peleas y los excelentes efectos especiales a los que nos tiene acostumbrados Marvel, y los que buscan ver a profundidad la historia que se está contando y todos los increíbles detalles que hay en la trama.
Como yo me identifico con el segundo público objetivo, pues hablare un poco sobre ello sin revelar demasiados spoilers.

Well the first point that I think those who are not fans of the Marvel universe didn't like too much is that in order to understand this movie you have to have seen the "Wandavision" series, otherwise you won't have the slightest idea why Scarlet Witch is so obsessed with achieving her goal.
But I assure you that if you watch it, and then watch this movie, the picture changes by 200% and you may be able to feel a total empathy towards this character, and even understand her deeply if you have gone through something similar, as is my case.
One aspect that has given quite a bit to talk about has been the incorporation of LGBTQ+ elements to the films of this new cinematic era, and of course Dr. Strange was not going to be the exception. From my personal point of view, it doesn't bother me, it's there, it's understood and gives visibility to the movement, but it doesn't go beyond being a mention, it doesn't add or subtract anything from the film, so there's no need to be too mortified about it.
Bien el primer punto que creo que no les gusto demasiado a los que no son fans del universo Marvel es que para poder comprender esta película tienes que haber visto la serie “Wandavision”, de lo contrario no vas a tener la menor idea de porque la Bruja escarlata esta tan obsesionada en lograr su objetivo.
Pero te aseguro que si la ves, y luego ves esta película, el panorama cambia en un 200% y puedes ser capaz de sentir una total empatía hacia este personaje, y de incluso comprenderla profundamente si has pasado por algo similar, como es mi caso.
Un aspecto que ha dado bastante de que hablar ha sido la incorporación de elementos LGBTQ+ a las películas de esta nueva era cinematográfica, y por supuesto Dr. Strange no iba a ser la excepción. Desde mi punto de vista personal, no me molesta, está ahí, se entiende y le da visibilidad al movimiento, pero no pasa de ser una mención, no aporta ni resta nada de la película, así que no hay que mortificarse demasiado por eso.

Now the highlight, the brilliant concept of multiverses raised by Marvel, simply phenomenal.
I honestly think they had a great team of consultants and creatives who gave such subtle strokes and brush strokes to so many multiverse ideas that it's just great, but they also tied it to such a simple, yet important question that makes this idea absolutely irresistible, ¿Are you happy in your life? If you could switch to another reality, ¿would you do it?
Addressing the issue of multiple realities is complicated, especially because it has not been 100% proven to be something real, although in this film they put little hints that give it a touch of magical realism very good.
Now, all this framework is approached from the life of Dr. Strange, so "several" Steven Strange have to appear, all with different personalities, but still the same character, something very difficult to convey on screen, but Benedict Cumberbatch's performance achieves it perfectly.
Ahora el plato fuerte, el brillante concepto de los multiversos planteado por Marvel, sencillamente fenomenal.
Sinceramente creo que tuvieron un gran equipo de consultores y creativos que les dieron pinceladas y trazos tan sutiles a tantas ideas de multiuniversos que es simplemente genial, pero es que además lo unieron a una pregunta tan simple, pero tan importante que hace que esta idea sea absolutamente irresistible, ¿Eres feliz en tu vida? Si pudieras cambiar a otra realidad ¿lo harías?
Abordar el tema de multiples realidades es complicado, sobre todo porque no se ha comprobado al 100% que sea algo real, aunque en esta cinta colocaron pequeñas sugerencias que le dan un toque de realismo mágico muy bueno.
Ahora, todo este entramado se aborda desde la vida de Dr. Strange, por lo que tienen que aparecer “varios” Steven Strange, todos con diferentes personalidades, pero siguen siendo un mismo personaje, algo muy difícil de transmitir en pantalla, pero la actuación de Benedict Cumberbatch lo logra a la perfección.

Another interesting point is the direction of the film. Much was said that this one would be a bit dark or horror-like. I must say that I personally did not feel that way, it seemed to me that due to the theme that they addressed with the antagonist, if there were enough scenes a little weird in which you felt that they played a little with the expectation, but being an action movie basically, it was well handled and made it more entertaining.
The other highlight was the "Fan Service" with the appearance of several important characters like Dr. Charles Xavier from the X Men. I must say, I am VERY excited that Marvel wants to incorporate these superheroes, because there are several of them that I remember fondly from my childhood.
Otro punto interesante es la dirección de la película. Mucho se dijo que esta sería un poco oscura o como de terror. Debo decir que personalmente no la sentí así, me pareció que debido al tema que abordaban con la antagonista, si hubo bastantes escenas un poco raras en las que sentías que jugaban un poco con la expectativa, pero al ser una película de acción básicamente, estuvo bien llevado y la hacía más entretenida.
El otro plato fuerte fue el “Fan Service” con la aparición de varios personajes importantes como el Dr. Charles Xavier de los X Men. Debo decirlo, me emociona MUCHO que Marvel quiera incorporar a estos superhéroes, porque hay varios de ellos que recuerdo con cariño de mi infancia.

However, the appearance and scenes of these characters left me with a bit of a cringe... it's like you go to someone's house, break something and then walk away as if nothing happened leaving everything lying around and dirty.
If you're a fan of the entire UCM and the comics you'll have to judge this sequence for yourself.
Moving on to another topic, America Chavez. What an amazing character. I loved her personality, her style and the actress chosen to play her, Xóchitl Gómez. She embodies all this feeling of being part of a new generation of heroes, an idea that Marvel is already developing (The Next Advengers).
Her performance was 10, even in the emotional parts and you can see that there was a good chemistry between her and Benedict Cumberbatch, so I hope to see a solo movie about this new heroine soon.
Sin embargo, la aparición y escenas de estos personajes me dejó con un poco de pena ajena… es como si fueras a casa de alguien, rompes algo y luego te vas tan campante como si no hubiese pasado nada dejándolo todo tirado y sucio.
Si eres un fan de todo el UCM y de los comics tendrás que juzgar tú mismo esta secuencia.
Pasando a otro tema, América Chávez. Que personaje tan increíble. Me encanto su personalidad, su estilo y la actriz escogida para interpretarla, Xóchitl Gómez. Ella personifica todo este sentimiento de ser parte de una nueva generación de héroes, idea que Marvel ya está desarrollando (The Next Advengers).
Su actuación fue de 10, incluso en las partes emotivas y se ve que hubo una buena química entre ella y Benedict Cumberbatch, así que espero ver pronto una película en solitario sobre esta nueva heroína.

Finally, a personal appreciation. I think this movie talks a lot about pain, and what we are able to do to run away from it, but it also connects a lot with the ¿What if? And the truth is that we all come to the same answer, it would just be an expansion of the pain.
Trying to fix something that can't be fixed would only bring more suffering to a third party. Even if you could control time and space, you can't control the dictates of the universe, because superpowers or not, we're only human.

Finalmente, una apreciación personal. Creo que en esta película se habla mucho sobre el dolor, y lo que somos capaces de hacer para huir de él, pero también se conecta mucho con el ¿Qué pasaría sí? Y la verdad es que todos llegamos a la misma respuesta, solo sería una expansión del dolor.
Tratar de arreglar algo que no se puede arreglar solo traería más sufrimiento para un tercero. Aunque pudieras controlar el tiempo y el espacio, no puedes controlar los dictámenes del universo, porque con superpoderes o no, solo somos humanos.
