I hope you all are having a wonderful day and feeling good too.
And yes, I am back again after taking a short break of one month. And it is no fault of mine, that I was down with some health issues. I thought I had COVID. But it turned out to be the regular bug.
So I am feeling good and in a much better mood. And the reason is 'Invincible'. I was about to raise a plagiarism case against amazon prime for taking my story VIBGYOR - Short Story and turning it into an awesome animated series. The only reason I am letting it slide because the end product is awesome.
Jokes aside. I wanted to write a good story but lacking the energy and motivation instead. So I think it would be a good exercise to review than to write a story. (Ha.. you've been getting to the story writing for the past 3 years).
Ignore my inner voice and let's Dive into BOYS - The animated series.
Umm I mean 'INVINCIBLE'
SPOILERS - INVINCIBLE IS AN ONGOING SERIES, SO EVEN I AM NOT SURE IF I HATE IT YET. MAY CONTAIN SPOILER FOR EPISODE -I, II, & III. I AM NOT SURE OF THAT EITHER.
Well, what can I say? I just watched three episodes of this series and so far it feels like the animated version of Boys.
Which is not a bad thing. Now before I got into nitpicking. I think it is fair to say that the animation is awesome. Love the animation, colors, and overall execution. It has that 90's vibe.. X-men animation style. The one with tan-na-naaa-naaa-na tan-na-naaa-naaa-na music. Yup, that's one.
But it is gory!!!
Ohhhhh Boy, this one does not shy away from the blood and gore action. In fact, it handles that well too. ('Too bad it's rated 18+. Kids love that stuff.')
I love the pace at which the story is going. It is not wasting time in giving us a lot of backstories which is a good thing. Because this one has tons of character. In fact, I love the introduction of each and every single character. They just directly jump into the action and do their thing. Shoot first, and get to know the characters gradually. ('And that's how you handle it. And not distributing pamphlets to the audience. Looking at you Suicide Squad.. You piece of') What I am trying to say is that pace is nice it's neither rushed like DCEU nor dragged like the Heroes(2006) season 2 onwards.
As for the story, it is simply what happens if Superman kills the Justice League. Yup, that is the plot so far. I am not going over the details, because I don't know what's happening. As of now, only three episodes are out and I am holding still waiting for the next episode to drop in Apr2.
